It actually took like 3 in-game days, but the tree caught fire and it burned my entire house down.

Well, almost the same thing.
I had just collected some lava from my mines, and still had it in my hand when I tried to access my chest. The lava also got put down, and my entire house burned down.
i would be so angry. then i would shut down my computer to avoid it autosaving...

For some reason I found his calm about the fire faintly hilarious.
It's a refreshing change from all the videos of people raging and screaming blue murder at games.

Either he's new or this was staged.
Think about it, he thought that bucket of water would stop it, rather than just hitting the fire, as well as thought he needed to completely break the flaming blocks. If this happened to me I'd just whack the fires immediately.
though the way fire spreads without touching anything is ridiculous.
