It took me forever to get some decent sounding stuff out of FL. The mastering tools are shit. I need to get my hands on Logic Pro or Pro Tools.

Yeah I know, it already sounds better when just playing back samples! But I find Ableton a bit unhandy for producing. It's more useful for live performances or DJ's.

Don't let anyone fool you though. Don't think you have to have logic pro or pro tools to get decent sounding stuff. If you know your way around another program well, you can get similar quality.
edit: Also, I know it sounds like a pain, but I've done it before with awesome results. If you have another program you use to mix with, just any audio program you like using, you can export each instrument or track you have from fruity loops, then open them up in the other program in separate tracks, and do you mixing and mastering in there.

Yeah well originally it was going to be Housemate with an 'S' but since the username 'Housemate' wasn't available on YouTube I wrote it with a 'C' instead and then decided to go with it. :v:
