I still don't get why Goku and the anime characters are in this. Like it's actually kind of stupid and they're just ripped sprites from other games making them stand out like a sore thumb.
Still though, congrats to the guys behind it for putting it out. I heard about this like years ago and thought it was just vaporware.

I just looked it up and the demo for 2 came out almost ten years ago, wowie
I wonder if they're putting in Sonic fan characters like the original had on Newgrounds- I remember having a few play sessions of it while waiting for Super Mario Bros Z. uploads, then just kinda forgetting about it.
I'm very impressed by how consistent most of the spritework is, even though some characters look like they were just traces of Smash 4.
For those wondering yes this has online capability, it was really slow though.. this new version seems to run on adobe air instead of that bloated and slow as shit flash player. Hopefully it become popular again.
Its actually really good and it only makes me wish there was a proper way to play brawl online on pc using dolphin, sadly this community seems all over the place. But that's probably what happens when you make exclusive games.

All it reminds me of is the old MUGEN scene from the mid/late 2000s where there were 200 DBZ/Simpson Characters for every Marvel/DC character.

I wonder if they know that either the original or the demo of this was popular with those "download this suspicious looking software to play [sp]totally used without permission of the author or hosting site fan flash game of[/sp] *popular video game* FREE!" things that used to clutter in boxes and GPT sites.
For the record, they(the suspicious installer) install a whole bunch of bloat and malware just to put either a direct web link on your desktop or a flash file.

I remember being excited for this game so many years ago. It's actually amazing now, seriously. A lot of work went into this. It's worth having its own competitive scene. If you're a fan of smash you should absolutely try this
