• 3D Intro made with After Effects CS4

Alright, I've been leaning how to use Adobe After Effects CS4 for the last couple of days, and am freaking loving it. Been watching tutorials and practicing all weekend. But yeah, this is the first time I've ever done a 3D intro, so let me know what you think, what I can improve, etc. Thanks! Also, feel free to "Like" it on Youtube if you liked it ;)
Only part I really liked, and I didn't like it a whole lot, was the ending. Where it showed the site. The background for the main part of the video was dull, the effects are.. okay, not the greatest though. The light stream in the background, or lensflare, whichever was an okay touch.

Like I said, I just started, so I'll definitely start working more on the background and such in my next project.
Videocopilot, amirite?
Videocopilot, amirite?
Yeah man, his tutorials are awesome. Used some of what I learned in the other tutorials I watched, and added on to the Title Effects Basic training thing he has on there.
Unfitting music.
Unfitting music.
Hmm..what song do you think would fit better? That's another good question, do you guys know where to find good intro music?
I love the trial presets you're using. That annoying X that appears when you didn't buy the product. Same happened to me. Yeah, I agree with everyone who said that the ending was the best. Andrew's tutorials are really easy to follow and you get a great result. Also, I bet whatever Andrew typed in for the settings in his tutorials, you typed in the exact same value.
Pretty good. Keep working on it.

Yeah I know, they're awesome. Lol I did, just because it was my first time. I changed some stuff after I was done. But yeah.. [editline]04:09AM[/editline]
Pretty good.
Hmm..what song do you think would fit better? That's another good question, do you guys know where to find good intro music?
Something a bit more techno'ey.
That X in the middle of the screen is because you were using the demo version for some of those effects correct?
Something a bit more techno'ey.
Not really into techno music, but I'll take a look anyway, lol.
That X in the middle of the screen is because you were using the demo version for some of those effects correct?
I think..either that, or someone on some website (I think it was the Yahoo answer thing), said that you have to register the product first, so I did, but it says I haven't yet, so I don't know whats up with that..Wish I could buy the damn thing, but money doesn't grow on trees, so...yeah..lol
Ahhhh good after effects wasn't used for a shaking image on a radial gradient backround, nice work
That's fucking generic, but the blue lightning is awesome.
If a video is going to have an intro it has to be under five seconds with music that isn't overdramatic. Other than that, it was nice.
I hope you don't use that intro for your YouTube videos. No YouTube videos need intros. If you do use it, you should also reduce the video time to under 8 seconds, because it's too long. Like the smart gentleman above me, I only like the end of the video.
Are you kidding? It has to have a white-text-on-blue-background Windows Movie Maker, telling me it was made by "<username> Productions", set to "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor", and that's at least 1.5 times the length of the video it's intro-ing to. Otherwise, it's not a Youtube video intro. :colbert:
All of Andrew Kramers videos are just half tutorial, half talking about his relationship with his wife.
Stop doing videocopilot tutorials and releasing them as your own creativity.
Template. i've used them before, but i've never claimed them as my own
I work with CS3 and I have to say that your intro is very flashy. The whole intro was a bit long and the ending was the most preferred. If you make an intro, try to use the title only. The opening might be okay as strolling credits at the end.
Branding goes on channel page, not in video.

And then still use the URL at the end?
Stop doing videocopilot tutorials and releasing them as your own creativity.
Wha?...All I wanted was feedback on the project..And some of it, like I said before, was from one tutorial, and then I added a couple extra things, like the shatter effect with "Presents", and the lens flare..
You should really learn to live, breathe and think linear. Think linear. Think linear. Think linear. http://aeportal.blogspot.com/2009/12/understanding-linear-workflow.html [editline]04:42PM[/editline] Don't crush the image either. Don't crush it, stop crushing it, give it depth and midtones. Learn how transfer modes work, not just how they look but how they work. Generally learn this for most any effect you intend to use. Stop crushing those blacks already. That isn't colour correction, that's filter rape, stop doing it. ^ Just as a precaution.

the website needs work, but I'm going to assume that is just a "under construction" style page
the website needs work, but I'm going to assume that is just a "under construction" style page
Yeah it is...waiting for my web designer to finish it...no clue when that will be though..
