say what you will but some of the features shown there like session switching, video editing, fast game resume and overall the fast app transitions are sick as hell.
so you can [del]alt tab[/del] pause and exit out of a game and check internet or tv shit now for a console this is pretty cool even though it's something we could've had a while ago
got to admit some of those features looked pretty bad ass, so long as they actually work as demonstrated
got to admit some of those features looked pretty bad ass, so long as they actually work as demonstrated
As long as they aren't lying, this is live with no edits. This video has convinced me that Xbox One would be better for me rather than the PS3.5.
So it's essentially Alt+Tab plus snap features for consoles. That's pretty cool I guess. Still wont get me to buy an Xbox tho.
They're nice features, but they're nowhere close to being finished. Tab switching still crashes most of the games in certification right now.
Xbox One might be lacking in the hardware (a lot...) but at least they have really great software.
looks pretty neat, although that activity feed thing looks atrocious
Facepunch is changing it's mind...this is scary
Still don't like the concept of talking into thin air, it's embarrassing.
I don't know. from a certain point of view it looks like greenscreen on the tv. Maby i have poor eyesigth. Also the voice commands does not to work to 100% but maby 95% "What is on ABC" show Komo Going whit ps4 when the income gets good
Facepunch is changing it's mind...this is scary
I don't think they are, hell, its a cool system they have with it, but still, not worth $500, and I bet it won't work unless it pretty quite, like it was when they were doing that, also I bet it won't transition that fast with 3rd party games.
Using the new Kinect, the Xbox One can identify who’s speaking in a room even when you’re playing a game at full volume;
http://www.theverge.com/2013/11/8/5075216/xbox-one-tv-microsofts-plan-to-take-over-the-living-room
I think the video definitely sells the Xbox well. I'm just not convinced it will be even half as good as they make it out to be, just because It's Microsoft. I'm sure it's buggy as fuck. My Xbox 360 can't even sign in without having to go to that menu where it signs you out then tests your network to make sure the connection works and even that says it can't connect to the internet but all I do is just go to the menu, sign in and I'm connected to Live. So if they can't get that working then I'm pretty sure all it's going to be is all glam and gloss for the first few months you use it, then out of nowhere one thing fails and everything goes downhill. I don't even know if I'll be buying a new console anytime soon or how I'll be able to afford it but right now I know it would be Playstation.

As much as I hated Xbone before, I gotta admit that the Kinect is an insanely useful tool, ESPECIALLY when I found how well it can be used for scan-based modeling. Now, if only we had games that took full advantage of that instead of just hand waving.

Xbox go home
I bet in the future you're going to be scanning your whole body into video games, that would be neat.
Hell, it's a possibility today. CorridorDigital uses Kinect modeling+UVing to get character renders for ridiculous scenes in a lot of their videos...and that's with the original Kinect alone.
i would be interested in this if xbox live was free and supported my country
welp not buying this
Xbox, xbox, xbox, xbax, xbax, xbax
welp not buying this
If you're referencing the voice control, TheVerge did a test as well - it works almost flawlessly. I don't know how much of an advantage it actually provides, but it's pretty cool anyhow.
Shit, I don't like that I'm warming up to this. The whole "Switch back to a game without loading" is actually a fucking great feature. Especially with games that have ridiculous loading times like GTA V
If you're referencing the voice control, TheVerge did a test as well - it works almost flawlessly. I don't know how much of an advantage it actually provides, but it's pretty cool anyhow.
sadly, no i was referencing the xbox one
Still don't like the concept of talking into thin air, it's embarrassing.
It's not like you are talking to yourself, people do know you are talking to something else. Even if it isn't a person. I felt that way at first, but you get over it fast.
but I can still do all of this and more with my computer, and it's probably cheaper
I'll end up buying one after a price drop, or when the second iteration comes out and most of the bugs are fixed. I wish they showed the feature that lets you play a game and have an application running on the side of the screen.
I wait for the day a MS employee calls it Xbone by accident.
