The reactions are surprisingly positive
"I'd rather my grandkid listen to this than Justin Bieber or Britney Spears."
Wow.

i would too
"Not exactly Sinatra"
You don't fucking say?
In all fairness this can be applied to any generation. Though that music is pretty bad.
I don't mind dubstep, to be honest. From what I've heard (which isn't a lot) it's pretty sweet high-energy abstract stuff, good listening for some creative activities. From what I've heard of Skrillex though, most of his stuff sounds about the same in terms of tone/tempo/rhythm, etc.
If somebody was doing softer tracks as well as these crazy industrio-electronic ones I'd give them a listen
Why is it always Skrillex? Why not any of the good dubstep?
Why does anyone care how others react to this kind of stuff?
Skrillex is barely a shadow of what is stylistically referred to as dubstep, if anything it has more in common with glitch music.
My fucking god, watching the Teens React makes me want to throw up.

same reason there are different subgenres of Rock
Why not name the video Elders React to Skrillex?
Seriously, tell any random person on the street "hey, do you know any dubstep musicians" and they'll say Skrillex, provided you aren't in the UK (especially Croydon).
They should have varied the artists.
They're not really reacting to the music, but rather the video itself.
Imagine yourself in their place, what will we call strange music
I think I need to answer these questions
what did you just listen to?
crap
how did it make you feel?
like I need to find better music
What words would you use to describe the music?
crap
Did the sounds remind you of anything?
a bowel movement
Can you make some of these sounds?
my ass can
Did you like the music?
no
what do you think this genre of music would be called?
bad
what types of people listen to this music?
terrible people with terrible taste
if I played the music, what kind of dance moves do you think you would rock out to this
I call it: the fart

I actually wanted to answer the questions when they were first mentioned but they were all so terribly inane that it got harder and harder to answer them seriously, but then I had an entire post written up that I couldn't just discard

it was in a movie called tron
Who listens to dubstep? - Probably emo kids :v:
Made me chuckle . But the reaction from elders was better than i expected. Too bad they gave them listen to skrillex.

You're trying way too hard.

from what I've heard dubstep from the UK is generally a whole lot better, you might want to give some UK producers a listen
He's right, it is alot better when you're really stoned
Ofcourse they only play Skrillex.
Here listen to some good tunes compared to that shit:

The elders try harder to be cool than the kids.
