i really don't like his voice, mannerisms, shtick, and sense of humor. there's probably a good video behind all this, but i can't just sit through all this "banter." it just comes off as trying too hard

Most retro video game reviewers start to become like jontron nowadays. All these guys are friends and inspire eachother greatly. They share websites like Normalboots (jontron, projared, etc.) and Hiddenblock (brutalmoose, caddicarus, etc.) and contact eachother often. In the end, all reviewers will be jontron.
