But today was my day off!
I'd be lying if I said I was genuinely impressed.
Wow the music is horrible and they ruined the convent sounds. When will people learn? Don't fix what ain't broken!
The ghost sounds like it is shooting human bullets and not plasma, nicely done 343i.
Don't know what you guys are complaining about, I thought that was awesome.
"immersive gaming": spamming a button to open things with your hands
other than that in terms of gameplay, neat.
It was kind of jarring to hear Master Chief actually like, have a conversation, regardless of how short it was.
Well, not jarring. Just different. I didn't mind it. It'll be a cool angle to actually say things other than short quips and stuff.
Have they explained why we're fighting against Elites again? I thought they were friendly now, plus why are the covenant even still together when all their leadership got smashed to bits?
I would expect maybe some mechanical undertones to be added to the covenant firing sounds but they just took away all the alien-y stuff about it.

Just because some of the higher ranking leaders of the Elites agreed to co-operate with humanity doesn't mean every single unit of the entire race is going to agree with them. The covenant you fight here are a faction that separated themselves from Arbiter&Co. Also, what I've heard from people who've read some of the newer novels, ONI decided to fuck with the Covenant even during their alliance since their military was in disarray and they wanted to stir up some trouble to attack them from the inside, to prevent them from getting back to their previous military level and becoming a possible threat to humanity again.
the hud and the weapon cover half the screen, can't see shit

It's been like that for quite some time in the Halo series. Besides, Metroid Prime had something similar and it didn't bother me there either.

People will always try and find something to rant about, as trivial and insignificant as it is.
Not saying the HUD is insignificant, it's pretty fuckin' important. But you know what I mean.
Eh, I was a bit bored watching that. Everyone else there also seemed bored too. The demos aren't how they use to be. The Halo 2 demo was the best.
Looks boring, the new enemies and level design is very dull. Also it seems like the HUD is larger than ever and obstructing a lot of the view.
I have never seen a game demo like this where the person playing is even half-decent at the game.
It's frustrating watching someone be unable to hit even the most basic targets.
The teleporting Knights seem really unnecessary and they look like they slow down gameplay. Other than that I like what I'm seeing for most things but overall it was pretty boring to watch.
There's a grenade icon showing you where grenades are like in COD.
I hope that's not in multiplayer, trick grenades are my signiture.

It is.

you go up on a stage and perform your videogame for a few hundred people, see how well you play
I hate how even in modern games, developers often do not add that little bit of variety and randomness to the gun sfx. It's just so painfully monotonous otherwise.
I'm a fan of Halo, but this just looks boring, colorless, and lifeless.

To be fair, they picked a poor level. A lot of what we've seen is very vibrant, but this is in what looks like some volcanic rock area, where everything is just... gray.
And the combat seemed weak, but I've seen other videos where it looks just as fun as older halo games have. I guess its just cause they put it on the easiest difficulty for demonstration purposes.
Those animations man. Impressive.

Yeah, they picked a boring map to show off, and I do believe that was on easy. Which would explain the weak combat. Even I wasn't that impressed with that gameplay. That being said I do stand by my excitement and praise for this game.
I love how even though they have a video of the gameplay itself they switch cameras to a guy no one cares about and a shitty screencam of the gameplay rather than keeping it on the gameplay.

Weapons yes, HUD not so much. I get what they're trying to do with it, but extra blurry lines on my screen aren't going to immerse me, but induce quite the opposite effect. It's something that you can get over after the first hour but it's an annoying aspect nonetheless.

He's not really a guy nobody cares about, since he plays a pretty big role in Halo 4's development and marketing, but I agree that I'd rather have the screen focused on the gameplay during the video.
