This show needs ballistics gel dummies like Deadliest Warrior did.
This has nothing on this masterpiece:

It's still one of the worst shields I've seen, I mean, just look at that fucking preview even.
these guys make really shitty weapons and props. as evidenced by the above, it's like they look at a reference photo once and go from memory.
You guys saw the "lightsaber" thing they did right? it's fucking terrible.

they aren't even decent craftsmen, they're just heavily dramatized.
They only throw that shit at glass object because they are so very brittle. You could get the same result by throwing a rock.
where's the other guy
the bearded guy who sounded great
The gauntlet they made was pretty sweet though, takes a lot of skill to make a fully articulated gauntlet like that.

They didn't renewed their contract with Awe.me

The 2nd video posted in this thread is done by an entirely different crew. The OP's video is Man at Arms: Reforged (entirely different crew that take weapon concepts and make something different ala the Lightsaber Katana, these throwing shields, that abomination that was the ninja turtles weapons). The other Man at Arms (which I don't even believe shows anymore) made replicas of weapons that were suggested. A lot of them were either anime weapons or videogame weapons.
Sharpish objects vs brittle objects as targets. Does not compute.

Actually they know what they're doing, or at least give enough of a shit. The other guy half assed a lot of his work, which is a shame because he is a good blacksmith, he just got lazy. The new guys are doing stuff inspired by fictional weapons rather than trying to make a replica, screwing up and still trying to pass it off as a replica.
