Aye. Part of the reason is because he doesn't want it to become a monotonous task of churning out content like he did at the end of the original run of Freeman's Mind. Plus he's also working on other things like the Game Dungeon and ~the movie~.

I remember in the thread for the first episode, we joked about how Ross made no mention of the citadel and walked right passed it without any sort of acknowledgement of its existence.
And here we are now. He glanced at it for a split second and went, "That's a big building," and continued on his way and it was perfect.
I like how he doesn't recognize Breen, Eli or Barney and treats both Barney and Alyx like they're complete amateurs.

To be honest, it doesn't really fit with the personality he established for Freeman in Half-Life 1 to make a comment about her being attractive.

Something tells me that hot girls aren't on your mind an hour after being dumped into an apocalyptic future with people shooting you.
Also is it me or did a lot of the movements and interactions seem real sloppy this episode? Like him constantly bumping into things or him trying to E the hoola-girl but opening a cabinet instead.
The dialogues with Barney are hilarious, like the part when Barney taunt Freeman about his PHD for pushing a button and then push him like he don't even exist. Best part.

That's why I love Barney more than anyone in HL2, all the other characters treat Freeman like a messiah when Barney will just fucking insult you right to your face in front of your colleagues and love interest.
I respect that level of gumption.

To be fair, there's not really any women in HL1 for him to talk about. Training hologram and 'ninjas' aside.
I would'nt rule it out entirely at some point, I can see him saying "Wow i never noticed how nice you looked till now" Instantly after the Supression field goes down, if not then he'll absolutely say something when Eli practicaly says 'Jump on my daughter', winking at you and everything, when you get to the white forest in Ep2 (if it makes it that far :v:)
I just have a picture in my head of Alyx crying over Eli's corpse, screen fading the black, and Gordon saying in his head something highly inappropriate about procreation being out of the question for at least another hour or 2.
