The show is Human Planet, it's on iPlayer if you're in the UK.
Brilliant, thanks.
It's unbelievable that these tribes still exist. Awesome video, thanks.
Lol I saw one native aiming an arrow at the plane.
This is fascinating... And thanks to the excellent camera, it's like you can see the faces of them, they look... happy.
For the first time in a long time, I felt astonished and amazed.
plane=big bird for feast
In one of the pictures released some days back, one of them were clearly holding a machete, and a plastic bowl was laying on the ground. Something might be fishy. I'll see if I find it though.

That's pretty fascinating.
I bet they are actors, in a propagandist video made by hippies to stop logging. I always need fresh rain forest wood to throw into my fire in times of winter, and them hippies are taking that away from me.
This turned out to be fake a year ago.

I'm no hippie, but do you know what happens when we deplete our tree resources?

Did you actually read that article
Awesome! No matter if they were discovered 1910 it's still really damn cool.
If Illegal logging is the problem break their machinery, you don't need to hurt anyone but completely halting their process would be the most beneficial move possible. You'd be basically shutting down a chop shop for trees.
Swebonny I'm starting to get worried, we always tend to post in the same thread right next to each other. :byodood:
Stalker!

OnT: I can't imagine how the people felt when they saw the airplane. Must be the same feeling as seeing UFO's :v:
It's funny how we observe other humans as if they were animals.
Inter-tribal trading networks? I wonder how much unusual pans go for?

It's a great chance to observe "the past", if you will. It's incredibly interesting for both historians and psychologists alike, and even if they had pans and machetes acquired from other tribes, they still have had literally no contact with modern humans, those items were in their eyes made by their neighbours (or whoever they got it from)
Is it Gillian Anderson narrating?

I do agree.
I am sure metal items are very costly. I guess certain tribes are simply trading with outsides and they have connections to other tribes which have connections to others, etc, ending up with connections to this tribe.
That or they found/looted the items.

3 refined metal and a F-A-N.
Anyone know where I can watch the full thing?
Anyone else annoyed that they are calling them Indian? They, clearly, are not from India; I believe they're Amazonian.
Run in with newest technology.
Become a God.
???
Profit. (From the slave trade of course)
Do you ever think that this is the same reason why we have no contact with aliens?
I'm no hippie, but do you know what happens when we deplete our tree resources?
No, what?
We get the majority of our oxygen from the ocean (algae), and our paper comes from genetically modified trees that are grown in cultivated forests 10x denser than natural forests.
