This is fascinating... And thanks to the excellent camera, it's like you can see the faces of them, they look... happy. For the first time in a long time, I felt astonished and amazed.

In one of the pictures released some days back, one of them were clearly holding a machete, and a plastic bowl was laying on the ground. Something might be fishy. I'll see if I find it though.

If Illegal logging is the problem break their machinery, you don't need to hurt anyone but completely halting their process would be the most beneficial move possible. It's incredibly interesting for both historians and psychologists alike, and even if they had pans and machetes acquired from other tribes, they still have had literally no contact with modern humans, those items were in their eyes made by their neighbours (or whoever they got it from)

I am sure metal items are very costly. I guess certain tribes are simply trading with outsides and they have connections to other tribes which have connections to others, etc, ending up with connections to this tribe. That or they found/looted the items.
