worse lip-sync than the room
However that psycho-ops dude got in is a mystery, he should've been put in an asylum. He also needs to learn how to aim.
Good idea, terrible execution
The fuck, how did they manage decent props, visual and practical effects... but have the acting and ADR work of a fucking Godfrey Ho ninja-sploitation film from the 80s? Was this intentional, like the Grindhouse films?

I thought it was a rather well done, great effects/props fan film, despite the lipdesynch.
That C movie acting kinda ruins any sort of immersion that short film tried to portray :v:
Half life fan films are always super cringey
It was a bit dumb how he died right next to a medkit, come on. It's whatever though, pretty good film!

Pretty sure it was supposed to be like a cheesy b movie.
I'm pretty sure the bad lipsync was to parody how goldsource mouths work
I'm pretty sure the bad lipsync was to parody how goldsource mouths work
Turns out that the reason for the bad lip syncing is supposedly that they live in France and had American voice actors dub over it afterwards.
despite the bad lip-sync and honestly laughable dialogue, i thought it was great, i really enjoyed that post-credit scene as well, the whole idea of otis becoming one of those "crazy" conspiracy guys is brilliant
I read the comments, none of the people involved in this were native english speakers which explains why the overall energy and pacing just feels...*wrong*
Still wondering if that was an actual Tau Cannon prop.
I thought the effects were very well done, especially the gore explosions from the Tau Cannon.
That would have been good if not for the awful acting. If you're going to make a film, at least get somewhat competent actors. My local community theater could have blown these guys away.
Pretty sure it was supposed to be like a cheesy b movie.
The problem with trying to make a cheesy b-movie is that the cheesy b-movies people love were genuinely trying to be good films, making it shit on purpose doesn't stop it from being shit.
Still wondering if that was an actual Tau Cannon prop.
Probably is, it isn't that hard to make them:
I think its really well done. Jokes are spot on, the effects were awesome(except for the barnacle but still they tried and it was ok) , the cheesy acting was awesome. it gave it a feel ya know
I also like how much they collaborated with Black Mesa. I'm near certain that the guy who gave the intro was the voice of the soldiers in Black Mesa. So many of the people in Half Life die right next to medkits.
