Dunno why people care so much about 'em. They were shit.

modding isn't magic you know
if people could mod in toddlers imagine what horrors people could also mod in, and would be much more likely do so than toddlers.

It's the principle of the thing. They were in the last game and Maxis/EA have claimed before that something's impossible to put in the game or it doesn't fulfill our vision only to patch it in at a later date (usually for a fee as well)
toddlers were an expansion in the first place

They never said that about toddlers.
they still act as goofy as they did back in sims 2.
Now upload a "Drowned to death" video. I always liked the wet ghosts in Sims 3.
Though its sad to see a feature being "cut" from release, personally i really don't care about toddlers, they couldn't do shit anyway.
Swimming pools however :v:
It's entirely possible that toddlers were removed for gameplay reasons rather than just being greedy
They're just tedious and boring

the only time where that ever happened was with simcity and it was patched in for free so there's that

the principle is that they were fucking shitty and were not fun to play with at all
they had all the mobility of a child with all the uselessness of a baby
It's the principle of the thing. They were in the last game and Maxis/EA have claimed before that something's impossible to put in the game or it doesn't fulfill our vision only to patch it in at a later date (usually for a fee as well)
They added a shit ton of expansion content to the Sims 3 base game for free.

so instead of making them more fun, its good that they cut them entirely off?
pretty stupid imo..I mean if someone really hated toddlers in sims 2 and 3, you could easily use a cheat to make them grow up to kids.

sounds like toddlers to me
who the hell plays with no walls

People who like being able to see shit
im not okay with this. that looks so bad.

You do know that this sort of attitude would result in Sims 43 or whatever being horrendously feature-bloated, right? Sometimes it's good to cut out shit stuff.
Simlish may be the most annoying fictional language ever created
How are people already playing the game? I saw some footage of someone playing it in another thread aswell

How's it any different from going from toddler to 10 year oldish kid?

Puff of sparkles and BOOM a kid.
Simlish may be the most annoying fictional language ever created
It's not fictional, it rooted at the Spahn Ranch and naturally evolved

The game looks REALLY shit. Like, I've got the Sims 3 open right now and it looks nicer than what I've seen of the Sims 4. Really not impressed by it.
EDIT: I was trying to say that from that tiny video of an adult sum hugging a baby sim I saw nothing 'new' or 'better' than what I was already used to, which is kinda obvious as what is going on there is pretty much a core aspect of the game and even TS2 probably looked similar if put in that situation.

Right, I've always wanted to be able to count the skin cells on my sims.

Cut-out walls is the best of both worlds.

It seems like they've removed alot of the tedious loading focusing on bringing out a much more stable game, which they of course already plan to build upon.
Give it a chance, it might shape into something better than Sims 3.

I'd like to see some noticeable difference in the game. Don't care about skin cells but it looks pretty much exactly the same as the Sims 3 does. The only thing I noticed that looked better was the shadows on the part around the door. I don't particularly expect or want Crysis level graphics and I never implied that, but what I've seen so far just doesn't look impressive at all. On a base game only level the game seems to contain less content than TS3. I just hope it isn't as buggy. If it didn't have the horrible glitches that slowed TS3 to a crawl after a few generations I would be very tempted to buy it.

The Sims 3 had no tedious loading aside from loading your game to begin with. I've heard that this one features loading screens if you try to go too far away from your home lot. I'm more than OK with that if it means the game is stable or the community lots are actually fun though. I think my initial post sounded much more angry than I intended. My laptop had just died on me and I was in a pretty dark place in general.

This I can agree with. My Sims 3 has the age sliders set so that toddlers spend the minimum possible time existing as they are not fun. You are literally waiting for them to grow up and whether you decide to burn lots of your other sims' time to grind pointless toddler skills or not determines how well they grow up.
