You can't just 'remove' heat energy from planet Earth with an aircon unit
Laws of thermodynamics, I'd say with this being the fundamental reason why it wont work in theory, it is THE reason. On top of all the other reasons like being totally impractical even if you could somehow remove the heat energy the aircon unit produces

While it's funny, sometimes these people never stopped to consider how something works. I don't completely blame them. We really only learn something if we seek it out or it comes to us. They probably didn't have to know or didn't seek out the information.
