yep its a LEGO game
Well there are a couple new things, but yeah.
the guy narrating this was awkward to watch
A cover system, in a lego game? I wish they would deviate from the cookie cutter lego formula, but this is kind of a start.

I like how while this game has its visuals largely upgraded in comparison to the earlier LEGO games, they still use those LEGO coin sprites from the previous games.
This games have not changed in the slightest in over 10 years, I know people rail on CoD but LEGO games are the definition of stale. I know that's a pretty shitty thing to say, and trust me I have mad amounts of nostalgia for the original LEGO Star Wars on the PS2. Still, come on guys just mix it up a little, being a kids game isn't really an excuse for half baking it.

All the lego games are just reskins really. They all play literally the same. For a LEGO brand that's the exact opposite of what it should be.
I remember when Lego used to farm out their license to a multitude of different developers, back when I was a kid. The early years of Lego games covered such a variety of genres - you had racing, real time strategy, puzzle, etc. A lot of them weren't that great, but there were some real gems in the lot - Lego Racers is a pretty competent kart racer elevated by the ability to build your own cars, and Lego Alpha Team is basically a 3D version of The Incredible Machine with a secret agent theme (and is notable for being the only Lego game to actually inspire the physical lego sets, not the other way around). You don't really see this kind of creative use of the Lego license any more.
LEGO Creator was the shit, I wish they made more games that were 100% LEGO and allowed for more player creativity. Imo the best LEGO game right now is Minecraft.
