Sinterklaas (Saint nikolaas) is a dutch (and partially german/belgian) holiday where the saint arrives on his steamboat with his "zwarte pieten" to give all the nice children gifts. Kids also put their shoe at the fireplace with a carrot in it for sinterklaas's horse.

it's dutch. sinterklaas is a holyday that is celebrated on the 5th of december. the kid who still belive in him get pressents and candy (called pepernoten [img]http://www.klaasje.be/images/pepernoot.gif[/img]
