I was under the impression the Inbetweeners worked in the UK because it's a prime example of the realistic, uncomfortable, socially-awkward comedy that's popular here. In other words, Americans don't quite get British humour and this looks to be trying to replicate it. This can only end badly.

Never seen the UK show, saw US trailer first. Looked like some terrible shit show on Nick Teen. Watched UK trailer for the new season, looks like a good show. So much what and do not want.

I feel like I'm one of the only few that liked the Inbetweeners Series when it was new, but didn't enjoy the recent The Inbetweeners Movie at all.
