Please. Please say this isn't real.
Wow it looks like they used pretty much everything single line, plot and name out of the English one.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this.
it has to be satire. it has to be.
I was under the impression the Inbetweeners worked in the UK because it's a prime example of the realistic, uncomfortable, socially-awkward comedy that's popular here.
In other words, Americans don't quite get British humour and this looks to be trying to replicate it. This can only end badly.
So hard not to break out a clusterfuck of reaction images right now
what's the point of this
Wow, fuck off with the crappy USA versions.
They didn't even take the time to make up their own stories for each episode. Wow :v:
I think the worst part is that stupid people who haven't seen the UK show will probably say they copied the US version.
good fucking jesus christ kill it with as much ammunition as possible
I have nothing to say to this, it just makes me sad.

Hey, the Office had a good US version
The UK Inbetweeners is cringeworthy by the characters' horrible and also hilarious decisions. This is cringeworthy because it's shit.
This version will just crash and burn quickly.
I am ashamed. Feel free to punish me as needed.
its funny because the point of the inbetweeners was that it was british. It simply doesn't work in an American setting.
I also can't believe they used the names and the exact same plot devices, right down to him spray painting carly's drive.
So, let's see the success rate of American adaptations:
Skins US - Cancelled after one season
The IT Crowd - Didn't make it past pilot
British programs don't transfer well to American television, unless the show is completely rewritten in order to appeal to the American audience (i.e. The Office).

Also as usual this is way too glamorised. The entire point of The Inbetweeners is that it was supposed to be awkward, and even make the viewer feel awkward. Will is also way too good looking (would bang) and would never be ostracized by the other students in a school.
Never seen the UK show, saw US trailer first. Looked like some terrible shit show on Nick Teen. Watched UK trailer for the new season, looks like a good show. So much what and do not want.

you can clearly see why
I don't know who the hell decided to cast Joel McHale for the role of Roy.

Yeah but it wasn't trying to copy it exactly. The humour is completely different in many ways and that's why it works.
I feel like I'm one of the only few that liked the Inbetweeners Series when it was new, but didn't enjoy the recent The Inbetweeners Movie at all.
Good god it's got all the concepts of the UK one mixed in with shitty Adam Sandler style execution.
Why...this is going to fail so hard.
Also way to copy everything....

That was just funny but for all the wrong reasons.
In an interview the Jay character said, "The UK version worked because it has British Comedy, this has American comedy for an American audience" obviously they got it wrong judging by the like bar
All of my why
Americans should not try localizing British comedy, only exception being The Office.

The US Office only worked because of the cast really, they had brilliant actors who could pull it off and they didn't COMPLETELY copy the British humour, that's why it's still going I guess, but this, seems like the complete opposite

Except the pilots, they were practically the same
