What's this obsession with the Boston accent as of late? Lots of ad campaigns seem to be based on it, at least locally.

I live a few miles south from boston, and I can attest that this is correct. My mum doesn't have the... speech patterns of the accent, but she does pronounce some words with the accent. Eg. she says cah, yahd.
