Good thing I believe in the magic man in the sky. My life is rich with pleasure.
Did you guys even watch the video?
TL;DW What can we celebrate? *paste video of richard dawkins talking about life and death*
I'm an atheist but I still celebrate Christmas The holiday has lost most if not all of its original religious value. All it is now is just a clusterfuck of massive sales and blowouts, "good cheer" (debauchery), and buying people shit they don't deserve
I still do Christmas but I look at it more with its original source, being the Winter solstice and all. I like that better, its less of a Christian thing but more of a North European type celebration of giving and charity. Typically because most medevile people depended on harvest for winter so if your crop went bad you relied on others.
christmas has become more of an american holiday than a religious one anyway (in america)
Christmas to me means getting to wear a Santa hat for a month.
As people said, christmas is about santa, gifts and winter, not christ or religion. Not in today's world anyway
I am Athiest and I celebrate stuff like Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it has nothing to do with Christ or Religion.
I like Neil's comment at the end :D!
When it's Christmas we celebrate the size of our wallets, just like everyone else.
I can still celebrate my birthday :3
<3 Astrophysics.
We are one with eachother. We are the Universe. The Universe have a will to "experience" (lifeforce) so we are the eyes, ears and mouths of the Universe. The Universe is becoming selfaware.. because we can think about the Universe and about ourselves. <3 Quantum physics (atoms & stuff) = The true religion and beleif.
I love reality...

That's the best kind of receiving!
Well, life has meaning for me. And I still celebrate christmas.
Pi Day.
Santaclause doesn't/has never existed anyways, it is just a cheap copy of Sinterklaas, which is Sint Nicolaas/Saint Nicolas, a Turkish Saint, which gave away presents in spain to the poor. The real feast is selebrated on 5 december, the day after he died. Stupid american companies just stole it to make a profit.
Cosmos?
Birthdays.
Science is more beautiful then any religion.
Uh, that video was just about how our molecules came from stars and how small our odds were of existing compared to the infinitely massive number of people who could have existed in our place, it had nothing to do with what Atheists can celebrate instead of Christmas [editline]04:21PM[/editline] Unless he means you can celebrate creation
Hey, man, you don't talk to Neil DeGrasse Tyson. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet scientist in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he'll... uh... well, you'll say "hello" to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you. He won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say, "Do you know that the iron in your blood and from a meteorite out in space have common origin in the core of a star!?" I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas...
