I'll be devil's avocado here, I've heard a sizable amount of conspiracy theories that involved alien invasions, some even suggest we engaged in warfare against them, if you follow that belief then it could be seen as plausible that the moon was destroyed in the process, and it being projected is part of the coverup.

And to counter that argument I'd bring up the fact that many many gravity problems, mostly involving water, would occur if the moon had indeed been destroyed.

According to the video, these are just fake "magical powers" that the government made up to make the moon seem important and brain washed you into believing in the second grade.

I'll respond by saying you're completely correct and I'd consider throwing a bowl of guacamole in my face a more well thought out argument than the one I actually made, I was just answering the latter two of slayer's questions as to why the moon was proven to exist before the technology to project it did and why someone would need to fake the moon's existence, I'm perfectly aware the moon is real.
