[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UCjQmvbvfg[/hd] A simple push-to-open fuel tank cap would have sufficed! Damn Germans, making things overly complicated :v:
VW auto group usually has internal button pulls to get the locks open. No surprise for me, but I guess he was expecting different. [editline]13th April 2014[/editline] Ah. Same spot. It's under the drivers side window buttons.
Also, I read from the comments that Tesco is cheap fuel, unlike the V-Power fuel this Audi probably runs on... I guess he should have splashed a bit of cheap fuel, just enough to make it to the Shell gas station!
Tesco is really bad for fuel. It's started been like that around 2006 when reports came in that normal cars filling up at Tesco were having serious engine troubles, sometimes right on the forecourt, they use very cheap quality, He isn't going to having his supercar very long before he starts running into trouble if he keeps filling up there.

They have some amazing machines in that shop!
ASDA generally has the cheapest fuel around here but you have to pay by card
Seems a little weird to have something that simple rely on a button in the car I actually really like cars that you can just open that thing because I always forget but I guess people steal gas or something?

All I have ever heard of around where I am (in the U.S.) is every five years or so some station gets caught watering down its fuel. Even that only occurs when fuel prices jump up drastically.
Seems a little weird to have something that simple rely on a button in the car I actually really like cars that you can just open that thing because I always forget but I guess people steal gas or something?
Most caps have a lock that require the car to be unlocked before you can open it
Why on earth would they use a button to release the gas cap, then put it on the door? Levers are so much better - reach down, pull it up and you can hear - and feel - it release the lock and pop open the fuel door.

I drove my neighbours R8 once, and it's just nice to be in a car where even opening the fuel release cap is something special and different. I love'd it.
my fuel cap twists off, and the cover flips open normal vehicle masterrace.
I know this place, its Watford. I have family that lives right next to that shell and got a cake from that Tesco.
fuel caps are for plebs

I believe the cap lock is tied to the door locks. You just press down the cover when the doors are unlocked and it pops open. There is also a little holding thing for the cap, so you don't hit your paint like the guy in the video did.
