i really want to see some interviews with these people about why they're doing their job and not joining the riots.

Man if everybody was rioting there would be no country left to change. The riot police are supposed to be arbiters of the law. They just ensure that when the dust settles there's a city left to live in, at least that's what they are supposed to do.
These people have every right to stand up against the tyranny, and if a police officer gets in the way of that right, they deserve everything they get.

I'm thinking there are a lot worse ways to die than that.
As for the videos, well.. It's baffling that people can throw molotov cocktails at other human beings. It's just going to resort in the use of live rounds, or harsher tactics to make people stop. No one is going to intervene with this.

'Supposed' being the key word here - with the amount of needless brutality (and I say needless because riots and civil war naturally enough entail brutality to a certain extent) I can't really see a pure, non partisan cause being the case when they're beating down a population that's being forced into something they clearly refuse to accept.
Authorities breaking the vital social contract with its population is a devastating crime in a democracy and should incite a direct and harsh reaction from the people.
So, are these guys throwing molotovs anything other than little kids looking to have some chaotic fun?
