First I thought the concept sounded a bit weird, I figured it takes me atleast 11-12 hours to do the tasks they told it was designed for. But now that I really think about it, I could easily see myself going there. Think about it, you're visiting Kyoto. Exciting place so you stay up a bit later than usual (for normal people), maybe 11-12PM. You shower slowly, in peace, relaxing, maybe hit the bunk 30-60 minutes after getting in, you sleep a good, relaxing 7 hours, you maybe roll around in the bed for 10-30 minutes, get dressed and leave the place around 8-9AM and do another day at the city. One thing about this is, if I tried to do that for a period of a week, if I went to bed at midnight and got out at 9AM, I'd probably be burnt out way before midnight the next day. You'd have to have a very relaxed day.
I could see these being useful for people if they are on the move. If the hotels can be clean and very affordable, then they could work.
To be honest, the hotel is missing a marketing opportunity. Those pods look like an amazing place for sexual intercourse, yet they seperate males and females.
