why...these people are insane
Holy shit that's pretty moronic?
All it takes is one bad flashback...
absolutely retarded
I hope no one died while on this "training" Also, the comments are praising this, what the fuck
you know Western armies do this too with men crawling through pig guts and mud and shit like that while machine guns shoot over them right? this is just that turned up by 100
This is stupid beyond fucking words. This is not how you handle a fucking rifle; what dipshit thought this up.
Just why?
I would assume it is because shooting and being shot at are two different experiences, both of which you would ideally want experience with before you go into battle. This breaks all kinds of safety rules though.

So when someone ends up dying as a result, how big of a hit is it going to be on morale? With casualties in a combat situation at least you can channel the emotions into fighting the enemy, I would imagine.

You can actually get hurt. This is not a new concept.
That's the risk you take with live fire exercises. You can actually get hurt. This is not a new concept.
Yeah.... Live fire exercises don't usually involve putting someone down range and having faith the people firing a couple feet in front of them don't hit em. This is beyond fucking retarded and ignores every single one of the most basic firearms safety rules.
Why are the sounds muffled tho? it doesn't look like there are any sort of suppressors installed. video editing?
Why are the sounds muffled tho? it doesn't look like there are any sort of suppressors installed. video editing?
Probably the sheer volume of the gunshots blowing out the audio on the cameras. I've recorded shotguns firing before and it always sounds muffled. Either that, or the mics on the cameras are obstructed by a case or something. The explosions and speech are muffled, too.
I'm pretty sure this is more common in ex-Soviet special forces units than you guys think. In Russia at least it's not uncommon for people to die during special forces training and I'm sure shit like this is probably why. They try to get the fear out of you and simulate battlefield conditions as realistically as possible without any regard to safety because in their eyes it's the only way to ensure that you're truly prepared.
I think these are mercs, not government forces. The video has been floating around for at least a few months.
Reminds me of this Indonesian training http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e08_1451395555 The guy on the left isn't even using his sights
doesn't russia's special forces have one where they litterally shoot you in the chest then you shoot a target next to their head as part of the "how to react when getting shot in the chest" segment of their training [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] ya here it is ~1 minute in
reminds me of this [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/dhmcvk.webm[/vid] slavs really dont value their lives much
reminds me of this [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/dhmcvk.webm[/vid] slavs really dont value their lives much
i shall translate "i found gun in flowerpot the other day" "i test gun now" *bam* "success gun works"
reminds me of this [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/dhmcvk.webm[/vid] slavs really dont value their lives much
Hahahah what crazy bastards. My respect for Russians (I hope they are russian) just keeps getting better, soon surpassing that of Americans.
The way the aks cycle and eject, it looks like they are using full powder charges. The least they could do would be to shoot really light loads, even if it's just to reduce the velocity of ricochets. But look at that brass flying. The only other explanation would be surplus soviet or Yugoslavian wooden training rounds but I don't think those are easily available anymore. Plus, those have poor ballistics so it would be way easier to get hit. And it's not like they can't do lethal damage either. The only other though on this is that there's no telling if this is an isolated case or something they do regularly. It's possible to stage something like that as part of a 'look at our tough soldiers' kind of propaganda video as well. I'd also have to look up those uniforms and equipment to confirm anything, but if that is genuinely a common practice in ukrainian training, its fucking stupid
I don't know a whole lot about this subject, but it's possible they could be using some kind of simunitions. I know there are exercises in the US where we give soldiers simulated ammunition (basically grown-up airsoft) and pit them against each other. Perhaps this is something similar.
All i see here is people training how to miss.
why...these people are insane
Isn't anyone?
I'm pretty sure this is more common in ex-Soviet special forces units than you guys think. In Russia at least it's not uncommon for people to die during special forces training and I'm sure shit like this is probably why.
No, our special forces have "confidence" trainings like the one in the video a few posts before mine. Those are... relatively safe, considering that they're done by trained professionals under controlled conditions, when everyone's well rested. Casualties happen because of exhaustion, physical training in special forces is extremely brutal, I'd imagine that that sort of thing happens in any country that has special forces worth mentioning. Sometimes people just can't deal with that kind of extreme physical strain. Russian spec ops are just infamous for it mainly because they're overhyped "Training's so brutal people actually DIE!". As for the video in the OP, from what I could gather, that's some certain "Centre for Special and Tactical Training "WHITE WOLF"". Private organization that provides military training services for anyone who wants. I couldn't figure everything out due to not knowing Ukrainian quite enough, if laserbeams or someone else is willing to dig some more - here's their site. From the looks of it, the guys in the video are in fact mercs, so calm your tits everyone, Ukrainian military isn't this crazy.
Part of me thinks this is pretty stupid. But at the same time they're signing up to go to war, if you can't handle getting shot at you should go find a safer occupation
Part of me thinks this is pretty stupid. But at the same time they're signing up to go to war, if you can't handle getting shot at you should go find a safer occupation
Yeah there's not a lot of things that can be better than taking a bullet during the "training" because of someone's fuckup and never getting to go do the thing you were preparing for.
