I saw you try to fix my video! At least give me a minute to do it myself.
with a truck that big and an attitude like that, you know that guy has a really tiny penis
Filming that was really unsafe.
I'm not sure of the road they are on but It looks like she was going 15 under in the left lane.

It's annoying as hell, but to be fair the roads were wet. Tampa has really poorly maintained roads in some areas, which means depressions in the road can hold a deep layer of water, making it very easy for a car to hydroplane.

I slow down if tailgated. Conditions of the road change (you may be rear ended if you brake hard at high speeds) so you slow down. Legal and has the bonus of pissing off the other guy.
Dude that's like the second worst fucking thing to do. Did you even take a driver's ed course?
Best thing about being tailgated is that it's the other guy's fault if you have to slam on the brakes and he rams into you.

Shower me with your endless knowledge on the subject.
Do explain to everyone why slowing down when faced with adverse conditions will somehow end poorly.

Generally speaking when you're being tailgated by someone displaying signs of road rage, the idea is not to enrage them any further. If you're in the left lane and being tailgated then merge into the right lane when it's safe to do so and normally the person tailgating you will go on their way. You really shouldn't provoke someone who's displaying road rage, while it will usually end with nothing happening you never know.

Dude, that's the stupidest thing you can do, you're just going to piss them off worse. Maintain speed, and get over if possible. You're the person that causes bad shit to happen to other people instead of just the guy with road rage. Slowing down creates a bad environment for everyone in those situations. Not to mention a slightly slick road isn't really "adverse conditions", it's not like it was even drizzling in the video. The speed limit for that area would be just fine in that weather.

This.
I honestly think both of them were in the wrong here.
Lady needs to move to the right if she plans on driving slow.
Moron needs to learn to drive and take a chill pill.
In the end the road rage guy was the biggest moron - and paid the price.
Not sure if the diver is an old woman or a 16 year old with a kids voice..

I think he is talking about the other driver, not the one that was recording. But even then, recording that isn't the safest thing to do on wet roads.

People are terrible about moving over in America. When someone comes flying up behind you, it's not your job to pass judgement and say, "WELL I'MA GO SLOW TO MAKE HIM SLOW DOWN TOO". Just get the fuck out of their way and avoid conflict. I always let people pass in the rare event they're trying to go any faster than I usually do.

Doing that is more dangerous and stupid than simply moving out of their way. That's cool and all that it might give you an ego boost because you're pissing someone off, but if you're in a passing lane (aka the left lane) and not either A. Passing someone in the right lane at that moment at an acceptable speed or B. Turning left within the next KM or so, get the fuck out of that lane. The only reason to ever slow down when someone is tailgating you would be to try to create more of a cushion infront of you, or to find a spot in the other lane and move over. Simply slowing down to piss someone off is arguably as irresponsible and dangerous as tailgating someone

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has charged 33-year-old Jefferey Travis White of Tampa with Leaving the Scene of a Crash.
"Florida Driver" continues writing on YouTube: "He initially fled the scene of the accident, but thanks to this video he has been caught and charged. Massive props to the Sheriffs Department and most especially the Highway Patrol who responded to the scene."

The woman who shot the video will not be charged, according to the sheriff's office.
You are an asshole on a power trip more than the tailgater. Get the fuck out of the passing lane and let the guy get pulled over for speeding. It is also a moving violation to impede traffic by sitting in the fast lane.

From the video description she couldn't move into the right hand lane because of some trucks, she didn't want to speed to overtake them because the roads were wet.
Guess he found out why she didn't want to speed.

I'm assuming the trucks she's talking about were the ones at roughly 45 seconds. In which case she had a long time before she reached them to move over and then move back.
She could have went onto the right lane after passing the truck that was on it so...
Guy in the truck deserved what he got for being a prick, but the woman should have just moved to the right and let him get through.
Seriously though, tailgating feels like an epidemic now. Every single time I leave the house, even for a five minute drive, SOMEONE is going to tailgate me. Fucking ridiculous.

So you should break the law to accommodate assholes. Great advice.

Except letting them get their way through tailgating is what makes them tailgate. If a person backs off, then you switch lanes and let them pass. Otherwise their rage isn't your issue.
This was right out of the NC drivers handbook. If you are tailgated, you slow down. Slowing down increases the amount of time the person behind you has to react if you slam on your brakes. Do not change lanes unless you can get a sufficient amount of distance between you and the person behind you, because they will speed past and risk clipping your vehicle, an act which is easily fatal at high speeds.

It is only the passing lane in some states. Regardless I spend my time in the right lane anyhow. MAGICALLY people still tailgate in the right lane.
Also I'm very rarely on a freeway with a passing lane. Slowing down makes passing safer on two lane freeways.
Goddamn no wonder most americans are shit drivers if that's the kinda stuff you're taught
i can't wait to claim my next tailgating victim. my hitch is still unscathed from 3 bumblefucks hitting me after going "oh shit I have to stop" because they were too close to see over my truck to see the light, or i brake checked them because they tailgated me on a dual lane highway, like in the video.
Yeah I don't know what the fuck is going on with some of the apparent drivers in this thread but around where I live, I do the speed limit. If somebody behind me has a problem with the way I drive (in rain I will do 5 under) then it's not my issue. I'm not going to risk my life or anybody else's because I'm worried about what the asswipe behind me is thinking. I darken my rearview mirror and focus on the road in front of me. If something happens and they rear end me, so be it, regardless of whether I was hyped up about it waiting for it to happen or not, they're still going to be paying.

Well the guy had plenty of room and time to pass so that's a poor argument. Also, when he DID pass he slowed down and sped up repeatedly to flip her off and give her shit. Also, there were frequent left hand turns on that road, so there really isn't a "fast" lane since you could turn off in both directions. On an interstate with all exit ramps on the right sure that would be a fair argument, but the circumstances of this video show that she was violating no laws, and the guy was being a stupid fucker and got what he had coming for a long time.
I also think it's justified she pulled over to get out and laugh at him, hopefully she stopped filming to call the cops though to get that fuck off the road.
Dude that's like the second worst fucking thing to do. Did you even take a driver's ed course?
No. If someone is driving on my ass I'm going to slow to a speed that will allow them to stop without hitting me should I need to brake for an emergency.
I'm not going to jeopardize my ability to stop safely by speeding up or put myself at risk of being rear-ended by not slowing down just because Mr. Mini Dick has to pick up his Viagra
