I laughed way too much, it looks like a bunch of guys running around hanging onto their dicks.
There are hot girls at my uni who have a quidditch club. But I just can't bring myself to do it.
Also I think they only let in their friends. QuiBitch's morelike

Yeah the schools in the south US take it super seriously. Apparently there was almost a full team brawl after a guy necktackled a girl or something. The US teams in general take it much more seriously than elsewhere. I mean, I'm on a team and we try to balance it between fun and competition, because at the end of the day, no matter how physical the game gets and how focused we get, we're still running around on damn brooms.
Just watched a bit of it. Damn that's slow paced. But they got to start somewhere. Apparently when my team started it was pretty much a joke. But then when actual athletes (and not just overzealous Harry Potter fans) got interested it began to pick up steam.
If you can get over the silliness of it, its actually a bunch of fun. Especially at higher levels of play. I'd suggest trying it before knocking it.
I once played a quidditch game and it was the most fun I've ever had in a ball game.
I was trying to find good video of the world cup finals last year, but I found footage for University of Texas and Texas A&M. Its friggin long though.
