the hate is really unjustified, Mike puts so much effort into the videos with James. He deserves just as much as credit as James

The only people that hate him are the people that don't realize how much he helps in the creation of AVGN.
When people complain that, "He's using AVGN-style jokes to try and be like him!", they don't realize that a lot of the jokes come from Mike because that's just his comedy style. If you watch the Magnavox Odyssey video and then the behind-the-scenes, you can see where mike makes a lot of the jokes.

I know he tries really hard, but he's just not funny. He's just not funny at all.
I think Mike is a cool guy
I think it's just he has trouble actually delivering his lines. He's a funny guy, but when he tries to deliver a line like James does it just doesn't work, mostly because Mike tends to sound really cheerful and happy.
I really like mike but he seems so down on himself. :(

You can tell he doesn't like standing in front of the camera. I think that's his main problem. But people need to realize, without this guy, AVGN wouldn't be what is today.
I think he's a good writer and that's his place to shine.
