This trailer was cool, I hope it stays rooted in semi-reality and he doesn't turn into some literal demon thing.

I was on-board until ~changing his body chemistry into a super strong demon via his thoughts~. That's not a psychological thriller, that's just fantasy.

I feel confident in saying Macavoy will probably get plaudits for his acting in this even if the film end up rubbish overall.

This is pretty offensive to people with this disorder frankly, 99% of them are not murderers at all but people trying to cope with terrible lives, and their minds cant handle it so they split. Turning it into scifi "Body chemistry" shit and making him another stereotypical murderer just reinforces the stereotype these people are serial killers. Looks eerie and Ill admit the beginning had me hooked, but still pretty dumb movie.

I mean, if it's good I'll be genuinely surprised, and more than willing to watch it, but with failure after failure I'm more than a little apprehensive about Shymalan. Unbreakable and Sixth Sense were good tho, also also, oh shit one more, he's sane but he just has an over-active imagination and imagines fucked up scenarios with creepy shit happening because he's stressed or overworked or something else dumb, doesn't have to make sense it's Shymalan.

This looks like a completely over-the-top version of 10 Cloverfield Lane.

The reviews of this film are actually really positive. Which is surprising. The Visit was absolute dogshit, so I'm hoping this isn't the same case of good reviews but awful film.
