I met Keanu once at a tops bottle return room, he was super dirty and had a beard, and like, hundreds of bottles to return. He was pretty cool though.

they make the best human beings
To be honest I think most people don't bother him on the street because they're probably scared of mixing up and taking some random guy for a famous actor. He's got a pretty regular face, all things considered.

even if I met a celebrity and 100% confirmed it was him I wouldn't take my camera out, wouldn't look at him, wouldn't even say hello, unless the moment struck that I would otherwise say hello to another person.
Imagine how much shit celebrities have to deal with. May as well not add to that.
