Been meaning to post this for a while now. Even more relevant as Mania and more importantly, Project 2017, are on the horizon.
Still a slight amount of bias here and there (i.e: any reference to the Archie and Fleetway continuities), misinformation, and other weird bits but this is still a pretty good and actually fair analysis of the series.
I like the idea of the Drill Wisp power just being a permanent part of Sonic's moveset going forward

Only problem with it would be controls if it was ever decided to be implemented. In Colors, you could make some super tight turns in water as the Yellow Drill form.
Don't know how it would fit into Sonic's aquaphobic tendencies but hey he's been diving into water just fine under the player's control since 1991, G&S segregation isn't our main concern.
