Damn looks pretty good, gonna get the collection anyways (hopefully) since multiplayer will have every map on it and re-mastered cut scenes and such.
I like ditching the load out system. I always loved having small battles just to have your team control where a certain weapon spawns in Halo 3
I didn't expect to be looking forward to this after 4, but I'm impressed. This isn't enough to get an Xbone though but when/if I get one this'll be the first game I pick up.
They seem to be on the right track of mind. Which is going back to what made Halo great instead of trying to reinvent it with CoD elements.
was dat sum midship
I wonder how dedicated their 'dedicated servers' will be.
They are probably going to make use of Microsoft's Azure "cloud" servers. Given it is going to be the Xbone's first real console selling game, they need to do it right.
I'm glad they went back to more classic Halo formula instead of whatever they did with H4. That armour is still awful.

Oh come on, attitude like that's not really fair considering they're basically the first console fps to have dedicated servers in a long time.
It's sort of 'They said they're doing something good? I bet they'll make it bad'

Wait my bad I think Battlefield might have them.
Wow if they're not lying then Halo 5 might actually be good. Although the gameplay they've showed so far of Halo 2 shows that they still have a really bad audio department, which is unfortunate.

Recent Call of Duties and Battlefields had dedicated servers.

Multiplayer might be good. Single player (and art direction, which was fucking awful in 4) I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah I should have specified. Single player is gonna be a fucking joke no question.
Fuck yeah the SMG is back
Unless they recton 4's campaign, they're not winning me back.

+ Giant Robot Bird
halo 2's mp still has weapon sets...
halo 2's mp still has weapon sets...
The remastered MP does, the Halo 2 Engine MP doesn't.
Get rid of armor abilities and loadouts all together instead of having some custom game option toggled on. Still garbage until then.
Sounds good
Just give me Halo 3 game play with updated graphics and i will be so happy, that was the best halo game for me i had over 2000 matches on it.
Could be fun, but not enough to want an xbone
Looks neat, really look like it's getting back to Halo 3's Legacy. Just hoping the GUI won't be shit and the armour presets won't look retarded

All I'm saying is that I'm not going to hold my breath on dedicated servers. If they do actually have good dedicated servers then that'll be wonderful, if not I won't be surprised.
I really really wish they would just go back to the Halo 3 esque multiplayer and scrap armor abilities unless you pick them up on the map.

This so much. I played the shit out of Halo 1, 2, and 3 but then stopped at Reach and 4 because I couldn't stand the loadout system and the armour abilities. I will wait until I see more info before being excited and considering to buy an Xbone
Armor abilities would be kinda neat if you could only pick them up
Grab a jetpack or something off the ground
I liked the armour abilities, jetpack could be a little bit OP sometimes and for reach anyway you could only choose them as part of a set so nobody could combine an ability with a certain weapon, for example - and for other games such as SWAT they were disabled altogether

Reach for me but same principle, I hated to see what was before 'spawn with 1 of 8 armor abilities' become 'level up and spawn with better guns' and I hated seeing people looking at Reach and seeing Halo 4 as well.
60 fps, but the tiny bit of gameplay they actually showed of the environment looked like ass

Weirdly, if you look at trailers for the newest call of duty, it seems to slowly be turning into halo. I'm thinking they'll continue to grow more and more similar, until one day they're one, and the two fan-bases merge into a mewling, screaming mass of enraged 14 year olds.
And then we all die.
