wonder if there's any reward for pushing your town to a 300% employment rate
It sucks how on one side you have all these little towns dying out all over the world, and on the other side overcrowded cities were people move to just to end up renting a small apartment their entire life.
The neighbours dog shits on your lawn.
What do you do? Punch yourself?
What if you don't even have a dog?
Where did the shit come from?

Unfortunately when there is little jobs or opportunity to go around the ability to stay in your own little town rapidly decreases. Even before I decided to look at moving abroad I realised I would have to move anyway in the UK because there is fuck all IT jobs in my area.

It's gonna be sad when she dies, hope the town isn't just forgotten
It feels like she's very vulnerable being all by herself in the middle of no where.
Hibbets Gore, Maine also has a population of one and is technically incorporated and served by a congressional district

They'll set up a trailer park, which'll eventually turn into a gentrified loft district. Then Monowi will be home to the only dairy-free yogurt shops in Nebraska.

I was so interested in the content of this video right up until the end. I found it really fascinating that she is self-elected mayor and has to run through normal legalities to assure funding. I asked myself how she might have found herself the time to be a mayor, a bartender, and also run a library, but I suppose being the only person in the town allows for that kind of freedom. Truly, it was inspiring. Up until that squirmy quimby winked at me. It was a subtle gesture, but I was taken aback. It felt sincere, I almost felt connected to him. Who is he to make such an... an advancement when I am just becoming enthralled by the notion of a truly lonesome, tragic and self-ruling populace? Excuse me, I have to take a shower and question everything I thought I knew about my sexuality.

You petition the government to create a local ordinance allowing you to firebomb the countryside.
I wonder what happens to the town once she dies. Who gets to claim it afterwards?
Small groups from other small towns tend to move into the abandon ones. Usually the groups would tend to settle in the outskirts as they slowly pick themselves off. Which ever group survives the struggle between the groups. They claim the small town to themselves, and thus continues the small town conquest in the Northern Nebraskan lands.
Though, they have to fend off the invasion of ground hogs and skirmishes from coyotes while dealing with diplomatic negotiations with the Tri Cities and the Native American Territories. They are Lucky if they can establish an income from agriculture, but if they dont until the nebraskan winter. They will be wiped out in just a few weeks in the below zero temperatures. If they survive that long, they have to deal with incursions of E.T. abductions.
I live in Nebraska so i speak from experience.
