I'm not really sure what to make of this, I mean at the end of the day the stats are bad.
It's not like we don't know that racism exists. We also know that racism is going to slowly die out as the world grows and modernizes and those who are actually racist simply die of old age. We can all simply do our part by not being racist, calling out those who are (and I mean actually are) and watching the world turn into a better place for everybody to live in.
"Racism isn't over" but it's on the way out and nobody is going to miss it. Do we really need a video to remind us of that?

Isn't basing statistics solely on the color of ones skin racist in itself?
I mean racism is a problem, but this video only takes white people in general and black people in general. There's a lot more to the issue than just the color of one's skin. The comparisons of arrests traffic stops etc. fails to take into account the location, cultural standing and stability of the populations surveyed. There is a racial inequality in the United States, there is no denying this. But can we attribute all of this to current racists, or as an aftermath of the segregation that caused this in the first place?
It's a complex issue, and we have a long way to go. Creating videos like this with the current situation is irresponsible and doing nothing to help. All we are doing is fanning the flames of an already heated situation.

Unless they pass it on to younger generations, which they do. Or through each persons own opinions from what they themselves have observed of others.

what about systematic & societal discrimination based on nationality / culture / religion / skin tone? Because that sure does exist and is common worldwide. Regardless if you are white / black any skin tone. Both anti-colour racism (e.g. USA, Europe, Australia) & anti-white racism do exist (e.g. Asia, Africa). Yes it may not be as prolific as before, but it's still there. Do people forget such things like the Apartheid? Seriously, it's a common problem that needs to be dealt with in that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of who they are or what they stand for.
In my honest opinion, this video is to generalized too actually point out every single problem. It seems shortsighted and is comparable to tabloid articles. There is always more to the story than just statistics. You have to also know the stories behind each and every story & incident to understand why the world is still so polarized in relation to finding it hard to let go of physical description of said individual(s).

Most black people in the comments agrees that this is whats really happening, I can't even begin to imagine what shit they have to go through every day.

What I am trying to say is, is that the problem is there are many people out there who really could not give a damn in actually understanding that there's much more to it and will still engage in racist activities (in essence lack of proper understanding & not wanting to believe that it's a problem.)

I agree the racism is more harmful to people with a history of being oppressed, but I think obsequious self-depreciating white people are every bit as damaging to race relations as a whole as any casual racism is.

I dont think racism vanished. But I definitely think this video is worthless in helping the cause its fighting for. If anything was presented in this way my opinion would remain the same. Its practically a propaganda video.
Also youtube 'stupid nigger' comments holds little to no weight in determining if racism is still alive and well in the US or any country. Trolls exist. plus the way I see it, unless somebody rights/liberties are at steak that word is no different than using any other profane word.
There is still as much racism today as there was 50 years ago, the only difference is that now it's taboo to say that you are racist in the real world, but the truth comes to light on the internet with anonymous comments.

what exactly about this video is propagandistic? are you honestly already watching hour and a half lectures about the issue by an academic sociologist and know the difference? are you reading journal articles at home in your free time? what do you need it to look like so it doesn't "feel" wrong? would it make you happier if the sources were cited? would you look at the sources? do you just feel like you're being spoken down to? does Maddox have to front the idea?
