(this happened yesterday, not l8)
the thing i hate about this run is that even though he knows he's gonna lose time he still does these insane strats that he hasnt even got consistent yet (i.e. the bucket strat on the last level of follow freeman)
also i still hate him for dragging his heels about save deletion for an entire year and then acting like he was never against it when he uses it for the first time in a run and getting sub 1:30 (and sub 1:29)

literally the only strat he needed to do to get sub dwahmov like he wanted was to wallclimb with the bucket, instead of doing some weird fling with it to get up to where he needs to get that's not even that consistent
also I ran this game and got sub 2 back when that was a big deal like a year and a half ago so you can stfu genkaz

I don't know, I always feel like save manipulation is kinda boring compared to the rest of the tactics.
So is save deletion basically splitting a run into two parts that don't care about each other? All I can find is people arguing about it using massive acronyms a casual like me doesn't know
Since an RTA run is now faster then DWAHMOV, are they going to improve that run?

They're doing a TSA (Timescale assisted), basically a full run performed in slow motion, then recorded at regular speed so that all the fastest tricks can be done.
There's also a re-run of Old Engine Half-Life 2 going on called Half-Life 2 Done Quicker that I'm involved in, DWaHMoV pales in comparison to what Done Quicker will be like, I promise you.

What was that crazy speedrun where they just ignored the crowbar and airboat entirely? They didn't do these silly tricks with the saves like this guy did, it was all a continuous video. Afaik, it was done by different speedrunners, but compiled into one vid.
