I should buy this game.
It's 50% off on GOG.
9.75 / 10?
Okay, I'm sold.
I really don't remember that bit at 1:02.
Honestly, while the Witcher 3 is a really great game any RPG fan should play - I found the content of the quest gameplay to be very samey. Go to yellow circle on map, use witcher senses, follow trail, finish quest.
The writing is absolutely superb and the world is well put together, but god damn I felt like I was doing the same thing over and over and over again.
I thought this game was pretty overrated. It's definitely not for everyone, and was probably my biggest regret of the year.
-if you never played the previous games, you don't know what the hell is going on.
-gameplay is clunky
-shit framerate
-weapons break every five minutes and cost a fortune to repair.
The world is huge, and there's like a million quests, but I wish they streamlined things more.
Wish I could find that image where it's Geralt with his Witcher Senses but made to look like an Inspector Gadget clip, it'd be very fitting.

I've played 1 and 2 and I can definitively say that isn't true for the most part. Both of those games barely have that much of a baring on the main plot aside from wild hunt name drops.
and weapons don't break every five minutes, how the hell could that possibly happen? I barely repaired them but even still they didn't break that much on me. Do you never repair anything?
also, what are your specs? and your settings?
if you're using nvidia hair works then it's no wonder its dropping frames

thankfully far more interesting than witcher 1
shit combat and fetch quests. That's the game.

I think that's if Yen goes through a portal in a cutscene and you dash into it right after.
witcher 3 is great and one of the few games to come out recently that i can say is not overrated

Weapons only really break if you keep attacking things far above your level.
I only had this problem when I took on a quest that had enemies like 10 levels above me. Fights took forever and I broke my sword into the first enemy before I even killed it. Had to Sign my way out of that one.
Framerate is pretty good for the most part. Not included in the "most part" is Hairworks. Turn that shit off.
Can't really defend the gameplay, each to their own. Try doing stuff beyond "roll - attack - roll - attack" like dodging (the not-roll -way) and counterattacking and using sign and potions to spice things up. It gets intense on harder difficulties and you actually HAVE to use everything, not just attack stuff until it drops.
Not enough Gwent in this trailer.
I really wanna play this game but I just found myself not able to get into witcher 2 at all after 15 or so hours. I really wish I could've, I'd feel like i'd be missing a huge chunk of the story if I just skipped the first two

Witcher 3 is such an amazing experience that it wouldn't make sense to miss out on it just because you didn't manage to get into the previous games. Ofcourse eventhough former knowledge of the lore from the books and previous games is recommended, you can still play it standalone and not be left in the dust. CD projekt red participated that for a lot of people, witcher 3 will be their first witcher game, so they tried to make it as accessible as possible.
I still wish the game didn't crash on me whenever I take 2 steps
It ran really well on max settings a week ago, but now, even after disabling most cpu eating settings, I still crash if I breathe
so, it became unplayable for me and I don't know why.

That's what happens if you start with the third game in a series
-gameplay is clunky

Has been improved with the alternative movement patch. It plays much better now.
