Sweet jesus yes

Way sooner than I thought it would too
i bet my ass they worked on it before jc3 release
That was fucking fast. Did avalanche help in some way?

I'm 90% sure Avalanche have been working together with the MP team to help them get the show on the road ASAP, could be wrong though.
Wow that was hella fast.
This is how sandbox MP should work. No shark cards, no monetization, just a big world for people to fuck around in that makes buying the game that much more worth it.
Is car handling better than jc2 or does it still suck?
Oh man. JC2MP was amazing, it's such a shame the hype died fairly quickly. As soon as it was released, I hosted a server for it. This was the first night:

(That's the server I used to run at the top of the list)

(14MB/s pretty much solely for JC2MP)
It was madness. The most impressive part was how well it ran. Even with 1k players, it still consumed less CPU and RAM than a single GMod server :v:
I'd host one again but I don't have a server now :(

The multiple servers model didn't seem to fit the style of the game as much as i hoped for :/ It was better off having 1 to 5 servers.
It also didn't help that the team went away for several months leaving the mod lacking very important features.
Something tells me the destruction physics are going to make this REAL difficult. They might just keep things like bridges from being destructible at all.
This makes me wish I wasn't poor.

Or just decrease the respawn time.

That's a very good point - because everyone spread across maybe 100 servers (even though there were many more servers available - most empty) it kind of took away from the largest attraction for me - which was seeing 1000 people messing around in the airport. Utter chaos!
With that said, there was always 1 server with the largest playercount, and it kind of rotated. So, there was a busy server if you wanted one and there was a quiet one if you wanted one. I think it also died because the novelty wore off.
And like you said, mod support wasn't great. I remember trying to write a mod but the documentation was lacking quite a lot at first. By the time they got around to fleshing it out, the hype was dying

I don't think that will do it. A whole bunch of players fucking around with a bridge while its destroyed could be hazardous to online play, with all of the physics interactions. We'll see, but right now it looks like bridges are programmed to be indestructible going by the video in the OP.
Should have been in the base game tbh.
My major gripe with JC2MP is that the car physics doesn't allow for stunt/fall servers. I remember playing on an early server which had a loop at the end of the runway, driving into it at full speed would cause the car to instantly crash when the gradient became too steep.
I haven't played JC3 yet as I'm waiting for its price to fall to around £10. Maybe someone who's played the game would like to share their opinion on whether or not JC3's car physics could handle stunt maps?
If JC3MP can allow stunt maps then I'd say an unregulated SAMP approach would be ideal, if not then they should limit the number of servers to a small number approved by the developers.

I've driven into mountains in both JC2 and JC3. In JC2 you pretty much crash but in JC3 you ramp off and get launched into the air.
It will be likely that JC3 will work with stunt maps.
Yup, fuck the console version I'm getting this on PC.

They're already bad enough to not purchase them.
i'm not seeing any on-foot gameplay so i'm guessing they still have issues syncing that
that's some fucking mach speed work, tho

If you look at the scene where the missiles hit the bridge, for a couple frames before a scene change you'll notice the bridge breaking up. So it seems they're still destructible, for now, but who knows how that may turn up
I wasn't gonna pick up JC3 but now I am
