please be good
Really liking the visuals. Just hope they use them enough in the full movie.
The music nails the Vangelis style, so im optimistic about it. Deakins is a god as usual :wow:
Is that Katy Perry @ 1:31?
Hopefully it doesn't have the same curse as the original and all of the companies features in it don't have bad financial year following it.
Looks like it could be literally any sci fi movie. Looks pretty and there's ominous, vague dialogue about the nature of man, but does that really make Blade Runner what it is? (no) Also I hope that soundtrack is purely for broad appeal for the trailer (still a bad sign) as opposed to a sample of what to expect from the movie's soundtrack. That generic bass drop heavy track with hints of Vangelis synthesizers is dreadful.

From this trailer, I can tell Gosling is a perfect fit for his role.
Oh geeze you already saw the movie?
Nice zinger but I'm clearly commenting on what we've seen and heard so far. Seems worrying to present something Blade Runner-related as if it was a big blockbuster franchise. It's clear they expect this to be a smash-hit, something they wouldn't take too many risks for. Also, yes, looking into my fortune ball tells me it cannot possibly come close to the original. Only a fortune teller like me could know that.
what's with the recent micro-trailer-introducing-the-actual-trailer preceding the trailer in its own video stuff as of late
That music is fucking spot on, if its as good as it is in the trailer I will be very pleased indeed.
The trailer makes me question if Gosling is infact a real human bean
what's with the recent micro-trailer-introducing-the-actual-trailer preceding the trailer in its own video as of late
The purpose of them comes from the ads that play when starting a video, so studios make 5 seconds long teasers because everybody just clicks to skip the ads. For whatever fucking reason they include them in the actual trailers too. Coming to think about it, it's perhaps for people who misclick on the trailer but before they click another video they'll see the name and content of the movie that is advertised. It's so annoying.
Mackenzie Davis http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4496875/?ref_=tt_cl_t7
I'm so happy she's in this, she's amazing in Halt and Catch Fire
That music is fucking spot on, if its as good as it is in the trailer I will be very pleased indeed.
Not to be a piece of shit, but beyond the "cover" of the first music in the opening shot, what's so spot on about it? Or do you simply mean that it's spot on for the movie?
i hope this film is good but that trailer ticked all the boxes for generic modern trailers even down to the "music fades out character says something profound, fade out" ending
Quoting the main theme on the same synth sound seems like a trailer-y thing to do, I doubt we'll hear it in the OST. With that much talent and money making it sound like the original would actually be pretty easy, but it's more of a question of what they decide to do. I think we'll have to wait and see.

Outright implies military action against the aliens in this trailer even though that scene never happens in the film.

Yeah, all movies and sequels shouldn't be the same, but it's not like we had an overabundance of movies like the original and a total lack of action flicks. I'm a bit afraid simply because this movie kinda "needs" mass market appeal.
Is Jared Leto in this?
Is Jared Leto in this?
literally at the beginning
Mackenzie Davis http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4496875/?ref_=tt_cl_t7
Oh, well nevermind. Now it's 3 times more likely to get them all mixed up.
Looks visually stunning at the very least.
literally at the beginning
Wasn't sure if it was him or not

They dumped all of the action into the trailer but it's more of a drama with tense or violent sections. (p.s. did you mean to quote my post?)
Happened with Arrival. Outright implies military action against the aliens in this trailer even though that scene never happens in the film.
This literally proves what I said in the teaser thread. The music in that trailer is nothing like it was in the actual movie. It's just trailer music. It was made specifically for the trailer edit. Hence the booms and bahhhhs whenever they fired a weapon in the blade runner trailer. I don't understand why so many people think the trailer music is part of the actual soundtrack. Funny that you link that trailer given the same composer for arrival is doing blade runner.
