Hate to say it, but this seems almost fake. The kid took a sniper round directly into the chest and falls like he's in a movie. Then gets back up...

Yeah it looks like that shot was a close call and kid played dead. There wouldn't be as much dust if the bullet hit him, even if it went through.

He didn't get hit, the bullet landed near him and he pretended to be shot.

Wouldnt a sniper be the type of gun anyways that doesnt leave much room of a chest after you are shot anyways? Especially for how small a kid is.
I can believe he pretended getting shot but why did he pull off such movie-esque fall? If I was a kid in the middle of warzone, trying to rescue my friend and had only one chance to pull off the pretending trick (I'm sure those snipers would've shot him while he was lying on the ground if he tried the trick second time), I'd flatout fall straight on the ground during the first close call.
But then again, I've never lived in the middle of warzone so I can only make guesses.

Literally any weapon can be a sniping weapon, the french swat have used a fucking mp5 to snipe with in the past, the sniper was most likely using something that could be classed as a hunting rifle.
Oscar worthy performance if he tricked real people into thinking he got shot.

To be fair the people shooting at him probably fell for it because they've had the same exposure to Hollywood-esque movies as that kid did.

There's also the possibility someone actually takes a bullet and goes down like that, however slim. The shooter could have been confused and trying to figure out if it was worth wasting another bullet. If he was firing with an AK or similar, the kid might have been obscured by the weapon's sights and the distance enough to make the illusion that much more real or difficult to see.
This video made me stop and think about how badass that kid is. And how utterly fucked up it is that there's someone sitting there with (presumably) a rifle lighting up children.
Those snipers are terrible. I could have easily murdered those children, come on.

The shooter probably wasn't taking the time to distinguish if he was shooting at a child or a smaller person, since at distance he probably just saw a person running.
Even if he knew it was a kid, children can still be used in fights and a gun/bomb used by one will still be just as deadly.

Landed near him? Look closely and you can see that all of that dust appears around his entire chest area. Also, where the hell did the little girl come from? She was hidden out of view next to a car (but the cars right side seems to be perfectly parallel to the pov of the camera guy, which leaves her out in the open and in sight of the sniper(s)) So why then would the sniper(s) only open fire on the little girl after the boy makes contact with her? Unless all of this is fake. Also, listen closely and you'll notice that the people around the camera guy are sometimes shouting the same exact phrases with the same exact tone of voice and all.

Yeah I'm pretty sure if a kid got shot in the chest with a fucking sniper rifle he wouldn't be able to get up at any rate.
