Wow...
vocal minority guys :downs:
i'm speechless
That's not feminism, that's some sort of nazi-like level hatred for men.
This chick's gone bananas.

Ok, hold on, I think I've jumped the shark a bit here.
First of all reading up on the definition of concentration camps they exist in much more lenient ways than how the germans did them, I honestly did not know, so not much to say there, just wrong. They basically exist as prisons as well.
Secondly I could have sworn I heard him bring nazism into it (which is why I have also been focusin on the nazi-levels of concentration camp) but it seems that's me just imposing that into my memory after reading Bragradas' comment which was what made me post after coming back into the thread.
So ok, using the word concentration camp isn't at all as bad as I wanted to make it out to be. But I do believe that because the most common association with concentration camps is World War 2 with the holocaust it does paint paint that picture of a greater evil.
And I absolutely stand by the fact that his arguments are as poor and his video-snippets are as demeaning as the person he's going against. Again, don't fight fire with fire.
I don't think dgg is defending her, just saying that the dude in the video is putting words in the woman's mouth by saying she wants the death of all men. Exactly. Extremist anything is bad, which is why I'm against it from both sides.
Segregating heterosexual men into a prison-like facility is not the fucking same, at all, as a concentration camp.
This is a super biased anti-extremist way of putting it forth and is just as extremist and dumb as this persons views. He's trying to make her sound worse than she is by acting the exact same way.
A concentration camp is a place where people are forced into slavery with no human-rights at all, fed minimally and treated like dog shit. They're literally placed into a place to work until they die. That's a concentration camp.
Throwing all men into a zoo, excluding them from society with the exception of when somebody comes to pick them up to have them in their lives at their own choosing, for however long they would wish and then put back, is not a concentration camp. They still eat and work like normal, but in a society consisting only of heterosexual males. They're oppressed and stripped of certain human rights, but that's not being sentenced to death by slavery in a confined space.
This is some clickbaity biased fucking nutwack shit said by somebody that clearly wants to rile people up against feminism as a whole. You're not just against extreme feminism if you purposfully paint somebody as a greater evil than they are, try to prove your points by adding shitty fucking funny clips inbetween your arguments to make a fucking fool out of the person and using the same extremist type bullshit language and arguments to speak against the person.
Watching this video makes me angry at the person for misleading people and trying to sound like he's standing up to extreme feminism when he's really just trying to make somebody seem more extreme than they are and rile up views with minimal effort.
Trying to read the interview with Julie Bindel I'm obviously just as damn angry for these completely nutsack arguments and views, and she's clearly a manhater, but she does not wish for the death of men. She wishes for the death of the "male supremacy" and "patriarchy", and she wants the concept of genders to stop existing, but she does not want to see heterosexual men dead.
You don't fight fire with fire.
She does not wish their deaths, at all. There is nothing about death implied or stated in the segregation. It's stripping their rights away, like a prison. Not forcing them to slavery until death.
It's a HUGE difference.

So you think prison is a concentration camp?
Whenever we want to imprison people we should really have headlines "*** should be put in concentration camps"
I feel extremely sorry for the jews for having their concentration camps during World War 2 compared to prison-like segregation.

are you pro-extremist or something jesus christ
are you justifying any form of extremist

No True Feminist would ever say these things

Because the Nazis invented concentration camps.
Right.

No, I think extremists are terrible, which is why this guy is terrible as well, he's not trying to be rational about why this person is wrong, he's not trying to give simple factual statements.
He puts words into her mouths, sensationalizing her statement and in general twisting her into a much bigger evil than she is, just so people can hate her. She should be disliked for her actual opinions views and statements, not for sensationalized hate.
She does not wish their deaths, at all. There is nothing about death implied or stated in the segregation. It's stripping their rights away, like a prison. Not forcing them to slavery until death.

Concentration Camps never started off as about killing people either, in fact it started with the British in the Boer War. They rounded up Boer women and children (along with Blacks who lived on Boer land) and transported them to ~30 or so camps.
In these camps they lived, and many died due to malnutrition and disease - in part because they were given smaller rations than soldiers.
They weren't sent there to be killed outright, although the British government and Military of the time had no issues with them dying.

Well, this person explicitly says that she wants to put a specific group in a restrained and restricted place, against their will, for no reason other than hatred/stupidity, thinking that it's something good. This sounds a lot like, well, I dunno, a fucking Concentration Camp.
how is what I bolded not the same????
Because they still have human rights, they still work, live and eat like normal human beings, but they are segregated from all females and non-heterosexual males unless granted permission by them.
They have less human rights, they are treated in in-humane ways, but they still have human rights, but they have less. They live life within a closed society, they still provide themselves as usual, they still work and whatnot, but with less people.

What the fuck are you talking about?
Choose your battles man.
Yikes, where are the insane asylums when you need them?

Oh it's just an internment camp with an indefinite staying period.
That's much better.
I don't think dgg is defending her, just saying that the dude in the video is putting words in the woman's mouth by saying she wants the death of all men. He thinks that Julie Bindel deserves to be criticized, but that she doesn't deserve to be criticized for things she never actually said or did.
Fyi she's very divisive among feminists. She's also pretty transphobic.

By giving men less human rights, you are denying them human rights. Were blacks in America not denied human rights prior the social upheavals of the 1960s just because they could eat, drink, and work?
These are the rights stated in the UN's Declaration of Universal Human Rights (1948).
Right to Equality
Freedom from Discrimination
Right to Life, Liberty, Personal Security
Freedom from Slavery
Freedom from Torture and Degrading Treatment
Right to Recognition as a Person before the Law
Right to Equality before the Law
Right to Remedy by Competent Tribunal
Freedom from Arbitrary Arrest and Exile
Right to Fair Public Hearing
Right to be Considered Innocent until Proven Guilty
Freedom from Interference with Privacy, Family, Home and Correspondence
Right to Free Movement in and out of the Country
Right to Asylum in other Countries from Persecution
Right to a Nationality and the Freedom to Change It
Right to Marriage and Family
Right to Own Property
Freedom of Belief and Religion
Freedom of Opinion and Information
Right of Peaceful Assembly and Association
Right to Participate in Government and in Free Elections
Right to Social Security
Right to Desirable Work and to Join Trade Unions
Right to Rest and Leisure
Right to Adequate Living Standard
Right to Education
Right to Participate in the Cultural Life of Community
Right to a Social Order that Articulates this Document
Community Duties Essential to Free and Full Development
Freedom from State or Personal Interference in the above Rights
By putting someone in a Concentration Camp, or an Internment Camp you deny them many of those rights.

I don't understand how you can't understand the difference between NO human rights and LESS human rights.
Afro Americans had human rights, but they had less than they should have had.
[editline]oy[/editline]
They were not treated as equal humans, but they still had some human rights, they still were treated as humans on some level, that's exactly why people started to realize that "hold on a fucking minute, they are humans, they should have the same basic rights as we do".

isn't that the whole idea? it's not like a prison, because normally you have to be found guilty of something to be imprisoned.
calling them "prisons" is basically saying being male intrinsically makes you guilty, and that you need to be put away. which is the same rhetoric the nazis used in the second world war.
isn't that the whole idea? it's not like a prison, because you have to be found guilty of something to be imprisoned. calling it them "prisons" is equivalent to saying men are intrinsically guilty of being male and need to be put away, which is the same rhetoric hitler used in the second world war.
...
By greater evil I mean it quite literally. She is evil, but he is trying to paint her as a greater evil than she is.
Concentration camp paints the picture of nazi-levels of concentration camps with enslavement, stripping of all human rights and intention of having them die there. What she's talking about is more of a prison, which also does fall under concentration camp, but then they're only stripped of certain human rights and segregated, there is no enslavement or intention of having them work until they die.
I completely understand why you misunderstood it here because of the way that phrase works.
I wonder how many people will dismiss this because infowars.

How is "throwing all men into a zoo" not denying them all their rights????????????????????????????????
