WW2 Online (Also known as Battleground Europe) went F2P on August 9th. So what else was there to do? Grab some buds, get a mumble server, and go shoot the jerry bastards.
Fun game!
Good gravy, I remember my friend giving me a hard copy of this in the fourth or fifth grade.
Looks more fun with the new players than with the current ones I've been playing with all week. The "old" community of WW2OL is kind of dense, in the "serious business" kind of way. No multicrew missions because in their opinion its "broken" and "unhonorary" because the plane lags and warps, same deal with tanks. No fun allowed in general. Hope that changes soon when new squads are formed and new air breathed into the game.
And apparently I still do not have a computer capable of running it with a decent frame rate.
Is it properly F2P? Or is it like oh sorry you're just a free player you don't have access to certain factions?
Is it properly F2P? Or is it like oh sorry you're just a free player you don't have access to certain factions?
F2P gets access to basic vehicles/planes/infantry classes.
F2P gets access to basic vehicles/planes/infantry classes.
Yeah, basic stuff like rifle, smg, and engineer. Don't know about machinegun thought, but you can't get sniper for sure. Also handful of tanks from light to starter medium, no fireflies or churchills or anything like that.
Cool I always wanted to play this game but never really bothered cause of the subscription. Definitely gonna try it out now

Does this game work on Windows 7 64bit? Last time I tried to play it was a long time ago and it didn't work.

Just played but from what I saw F2P is even more limited than the trial they had a while ago. You're pretty much restricted to an bolt action rifle/submachine gun and armored cars. Paratrooper missions, most infantry weapons, medium tanks, trucks, practically all airplanes ( because the free ones are always depleted ) etc. ; wich you could unlock like 3 days into the trial are only for premiums now.
