20,000,000,000 A.D. Completely relevant to modern man.
20,000,000,000 A.D. Completely relevant to modern man.
Does it matter if it's relevant, we'll know in advance when all of this happens. so the people of the future can try to avoid it.
And then planetary systems will get ripped apart! AND THEN STARS AN PLANETS WILL GET RIPPED APART! AND THEN HUMANS WILL GET RIPPED APART! That guy is fucking intense.
I thought the sun was supposed to have gone super nova in like 5 billion years, not 20? Also, why is that black guy and asian guy in every show like this?

He's smiling as he says that the universe will get cold and dark. That's terrible. He needs help.
I thought the sun was supposed to have gone super nova in like 5 billion years, not 20? Also, why is that black guy and asian guy in every show like this?
the asian guy is a genius and is regarded as the best by other astrophysicists
The final 3 minutes are bordering on religion, but they also talk about something that i've ALWAYS been convinced is true. It's logical to me that everything comes in quantities. It would be illogical if even THESE universes didn't exist in clusters too.
If we have learned so much, and there is still thousands if not millions of years left for humans to learn and research, what are the odds of us NOT outsmarting the end of our Earth and even our galaxy? But outsmarting the end of the whole universe? Sounds like an ultimate task for humanity.. we better put our minds together.
in short: everything goes ka-poot
The effects and narration in these videos are so stupid. But I guess even the least gifted amongst us need to understand it somehow. [editline]20th June 2011[/editline] Why the hell couldn't they say that cosmological calender was on a logarithmic scale instead of only explaining that silly staircase analogy.
This is fucking depressing.

humanity would most likely advance to to living on different planets, and perhaps different solar systems and then, universes.

Better to just teach them to walk the stairs.

Are there anymore documentaries on the topic where they actually go into detail?
Although on the whole interesting, the simplifications and analogies annoyed me. Are there anymore documentaries on the topic where they actually go into detail?
I wouldn't be able to recommend you anything since most of these educational documentaries are produced by American networks for American mindsets. It's not that it makes it simpler, it's just that the analogies are hardly fitting at all, or even necessary.
Only good show by History Channel.
In the second part, that black hole is HUGE. I'm pretty sure if you took all the matter in the universe and condensed it to the smallest possible form, it wouldn't be as large as that.
13:05 at part 3 my mind was blown about a million times. OTHER UNIVERSES? I MEAN WHAT!? You don't think our fucking universe is big enough, so we need more than ONE?
Holy fucking fuck when I saw that there could be more than one universe.
