I love Craig dearly but that was awkward as fuck and not in a good way.
Notch is pretty terrible at being interviewed, lot of "yes/no" answers.
Trying to nail that wicked Max Payne 3 look.
slow paced but i thought the awkwardness was funny
It's like he's interviewing a child who's more interested in chocolate than answering questions!
Are they running out of people to interview? I don't get it.

Being interviewed really seems like a hard thing to fuck up and yet most of the minecraft devs seem pretty fast to do it. "You're from Sweden?" "Yes." "You've been to America before?" "A few times." It's like this guy's the protagonist of a Fallout game or something. He could easily say "Yes, it's pretty nice over there" or something to give the interviewer something to play off of, or "Unfortunately, yes" for the America question to make a little joke about the country or something. basic conversational skills are dumb
Well, he's swedish so I can understand if he's not comfortable enough with his english to speak longer sentences. Still funny though.

Still funny though.
Us Swedes are quite good at grammar, but we're absolutely terrible at speaking with other english speaking persons. I myself sometimes have trouble finding the right word for things when I'm mid-sentence. Not to mention that our accent is fucking horrible. I've managed to get rid of it though. Mostly at least.
He almost looks like a normal guy without his shitty hat.
I expect Notch probably has the problem most people do when speaking a language which isn't their first; they're perfectly fine reading, and even writing it, due to the benefit of forethought. But when you're in that direct, one-on-one discussion, it can often be very difficult, especially if he wasn't given questions to rehearse answers to beforehand.
I had no idea there was an American Late Late until now.
He didn't laugh or smile, or react in anyway to the guy's jokes. Apparently he was experiencing too much "culture shock" to realize Americans laugh at everything.
Where's his fedora?
Are they running out of people to interview? I don't get it.
Craig apparently is actually a big fan of the game and wanted to get Notch on the show personally. Edit: This apparently is not strictly true. I heard it from some other people.
idk what you guys are complaining about i thought it was funny
holy shit that was actually hilarious "wait are you the minecraft guy?" "no" "what games do you do then?" "I'm actually a janitor, im just here to tell you about the fire!" he's a really clever guy. You need to realize that talk shows are literally two people hanging out and talking about stuff. They both have like an identical sense of humor and just straightfaced eachother and that's like the best kind of comedy, where both people seem so uninvolved but the shit they say is rediculous
-snip- (people here hate notch :S)
I liked the interview and it's nice to see an indie dev getting some mainstream exposure regardless of whether you like him or not this is a good thing for the industry.
Give notch a break guys! What do you guys have against him D:!
He made Minecraft and wears a fedora, what do you expect?

(Probably worse than Notch I'd reckon, who actually handled it pretty well, so be quiet)

It's like a basic of human conversaton to avoid asking too much questions that can be answered with a yes or no.

Does Craig Ferguson usually interview his guests like this? If so i need to watch him, it's just them talking. It doesn't feel like an interview and it's awesome.
