Holy shit, thanks for sending me on a nostalgia trip for one of the funnest simulator games I've ever played, as mediocre as it seems compared to what you get today.
I remember back when it first came out, you could post the movies you made yourself on the official website and at least half of them was shit like TRIX RABBIT KILLS KIDS because one of the costumes was a giant rabbit costume. Good times for sure.

There needs to be a new game for this.
Or at least an indie game that works like this.
Shit, what a nostalgia trip, nothing hurts more than knowing we'll probably never get a game of the same calibre as The Movies.
Wish I hadn't managed to lose at least 3 install keys for this game somehow 10 years ago :pudge:
Jerma's done a lot more streaming of this game, check out his recent uploads.
I still have my original disc copy of this game in the basement somewhere, never could get my hands on Stunts and Effects though. Spent a decent amount of hours on it.
I dug out my copy a few months ago, but the disc couldn't be read anymore :C
Oh my god when she farts I just about died
Shame this game gets harder and harder to run as time goes by.
This game is why I'm going into the film industry.
Instant comedy, just add Acid Bass.
I still have the original box/cd for this. Same for the expansion I believe.
I remember doing shitty voice acting for my soldiers in my shitty war film. It was so great, really blew me away that you could that at the time.
The best business management game to date, IMO, it's so ahead of it's time and it holds up excellent if you can still get it to run. It's got that creative old-school Lionhead (back when they were still good) style when it comes to character and humor aswell, the radio and world events are pretty funny.
Get this fucking game on GOG already. I miss it and it can't be brought digitally.
It used to be on steam but got pulled...
there was one movie I saw ages ago made with this game, called "Quick Nick". it was about an itinerant cowboy and was fucking hilarious. I remember watching it many times on the official movies site but that has since gone down. if anyone ever saved it, I want to know about it
Man.. The Movies. Such a fanstastic game.
Good times.
Jerma is an international treasure.
He's the only YouTuber I've subscribed to four times.
Long ago I subbed to him in his TF2 days. Later I went on a purging spree to unsubscribe to all the channels that I felt were a bit superfluous (in the days where Machinima suddenly got REALLY spammy) and Jerma unfortunately got the axe. Then later I subbed back when he started playing with Ster because holy shit are they funny together. Then I think I unsubscribed when they stopped playing together. Then I subbed to him again because of his recent videos with their absurdist humor and I also just appreciated his personality more than in the past. My "4th" sub is to his 2nd channel afterwards.
