Many of those borders looked like lines of a front during an endless war.
Informative
The German WW2 part always gives me a good laugh.
Man, Hungary really took it's eyes off the prize.
Is there a world map? I imagine seeing the British Empire to that thing where the whole map changes to mostly one colour, and how come it didn't say "British Empire" on Britain in that video?
Really in the mood to play Civilization V now too.
Looks like Galicia (Northwestern Spain) stayed strong throughout all of that.
I chuckled at Ireland and England spending half the video in a complete clusterfuck, as well as Germany 1939-1945.
Damn, them irish were stubborn bastards.
Wow, Germany did a lot but I didn't think that they had conquered that much in World War II. It's nice seeing things from a different perspective.
I lol'd at Ireland swapping hands like 10 times. [editline]17th November 2010[/editline]
Damn, them irish were stubborn bastards.
Must have been a pain for England.
I find it really interesting near the midway point of the video where western Europe, to the right of France was segregated into countless little regions/countries and that Italy was in complete separation due to the warring families.
