nindies is such a stupid term
it sounds like a racial slur
No Rocket League? Damn.

I'm gonna guess Nintendo isn't very keen on allowing cross-play for their games.
Sony allowed it, Microsoft took some convincing, Nintendo is weird and who knows what they're thinking.

The switch is a stick used as a tool to punish people. Remember slaves where hit with switches too.

might not be powerful enough to run rocket league with a simple port.

Shut up nindie trash.

Psyonix are very good at working with Unreal Engine and often outsource their expertise to help other companies in making their games in UE.
Rocket League was originally gonna have a PS3 version - There's really no reason a Switch port would be impossible.
From what little they've said, I'm just guessing Nintendo's terms is the source of the problem.

I don't think it's cross play. Nintendo was supposedly fine with cross-platform multiplayer back in 2013 before most people. Some indie devs were making their Wii U chess game cross platform with smartphones and were supposedly given the okay if they could manage getting support from the other companies to do crossplay on other consoles.
"We've been having similar conversations with them. They're changing their policies on the technical side a lot swifter. We're launching Pure Chess and Knytt Underground later this year, and on Pure Chess we asked whether we could do cross-platform multiplayer, expecting it to be the typical closed console platform I've been used to working with for 20 years. Within a couple of days they said, 'yep, no problem. You can have other console players playing against Wii U players. You can have smartphone players play against them. No problem.'
SAAYYY NINDIE!
On topic, Wargroove looks really good, but isn't Chuklefish the same guys behind Starbound? I didn't really enjoy my experience throught their Early Acess development, but here's hoping this one doesn't gets stuck in almost development hell for so long.
This wasn't shown in the video other than as one of the logos in the end, but is anyone else excited about Duck Game coming to Switch?

I wasn't until you mentioned it. This seems like the perfect platform for it tbh.
[sp]They should also rename it smash 5[/sp]

plus, in technical terms the just dance games are also "cross platform" in that they have apps that interact with ios and androids, and nintendo loves those guys.
man pixel art indie games are so much better looking now than they were a few years ago, it used to just feel like a crutch or programmer art a lot of the time but many indie games now genuinely turn it into a cool artstyle
If anything, the Switch is going to be an amazing Indie System, since Developer Kit only cost $500, which is ridiculously cheap.
Wh-what's wrong Reggie-kun?
Are you craving my little Nindies?

Just like there were great looking pixel art games before, there are shitty looking ones today.
i was really hoping for Hotline Miami or Undertale.
would be interesting to see how both of those play on the switch.
Not gonna lie, the coop options for these indie titles seem fucking incredible. Like I can just imagine chilling with a friend and just working our way through Stardew Valley or Kingdoms Two Crowns.
Only problem is, both myself and my friends don't have the cash to drop on such an expensive console.

what i'm saying is that big indie games now that use pixel art generally have a much less lazy approach to it than most "mainstream" indie games did back in, say, 2010
like when that long-legged low res art style was super ubiquitous
