Did he just not get the blade out before trying to stab him?
Did he just not get the blade out before trying to stab him?
I guess it didn't flick out or something, guy got lucky as fuck.
Talk about a brutal marriage proposal.
Looks like a boxcutter... based on the moment when the dumb fuck filming decided to go and pick it up. Wal-Mart employees are told multiple times never to interfere with a thief. If they think someone is stealing, they have to call the police and do nothing else. Those two guys, if they really are loss-prevention, will be fired. Guarantee it.
He got what he deserved.

They can call the cops and then proceed to make a citizens arrest, and hold them until a 'peace' officer arrives. However in dangerous situations like this, I wouldn't risk it for minimum wage. Just record the vehicle license plate, and have footage of him on camera. Police could track down the tail plate, find a home, and go arrest him for theft.

Even though he's a thief, that in no way justifies the abhorrent treatment given by the two loss prevention employees. Since they aren't allowed to physically apprehend people, I'm sure a court would have ruled in the favor of the thief, in self-defense.
lol

The second those two put their hands on that guy, they should've just dropped it and gone to look for another job.
Police could track down the tail plate, find a home, and go arrest him for theft.
This happened at the store I worked at, they tracked the guy down after me and a few others told them what we saw, turned out he had hit like three other Wal-Marts, one of which he hit multiple times like the meth-head dumbass he is.
brutes
I'd fire the guy in the black shirt based on his wimpy little punches, alone.
What's funny about it? Two brutes beating down someone who looks a lot younger than them in order to recover probably a couple of bucks worth of store merchandise? They disobeyed store policy which put their lives in danger, and assault-and-batteried the thief in the middle of the parking lot. The thief had a right to protect himself and such would have been his basic human instincts.
Because, you know, It's totally not his own fault or anything.

This mindset it was makes it so easy to apprehend people, they think they are untouchable. You have no idea what you are talking about. One thing I'm sure Wal mart DOES have a policy for is letting theifs go if they are armed. But you can't really tell until you are in the heat of the moment.
The thief had a right to protect himself and such would have been his basic human instincts.
Would the thief have the right to protect himself against several armed police? Had the CRIMINAL, not resisted he wouldn't have put himself in that situation.
Would the thief have the right to protect himself against several armed police? Had the CRIMINAL, not resisted he wouldn't have put himself in that situation.
People seem to have this delusion that you have a fundamental right to steal without interruption. There needs to be a distinction between state laws and corporate policies. The ONLY reason some stores do not do forceful apprehensions is because they do not have the manpower to professionally train loss prevention workers on how to properly apprehend people. Either way, in most cases they are not breaking state laws by arresting a thief, they are only breaking corporate policy. There are a few states where it is illegal to do that, but not in most cases.

if you fucking pull out a knife and try to stab them, you're going to get slammed onto the ground and break your nose. [editline]sd[/editline] if he didn't run away, then try to resist, then pull out a knife and try to kill them, he would be in a far better position than he was at the end of the video. how are you defending him?
Agree, and law enforcement would do a lot worse than slam your head into the floor if you pulled a knife on them.
Yes. If they were real cops it would be completely understandable if the guy ended up with a bullet wound or a broken limb. Luckily for him it didn't happen that way.
This is a disgusting video. Even though he's a thief, that in no way justifies the abhorrent treatment given by the two loss prevention employees. Animals.
so the guy was trying to get away with stealing and then decided to not deal with security calmly and resists them and fights back and when the security gets more aggressive just to stop him he decides to try to stab one of them, and you call the security animals?

Most boosters are between 18 and 65 and LP is pretty much designed to tackle them, not petty theft.

I used to be security at a hospital, just started. I had a patient who was drunk, started banging his head on one of the doors that had a glass plate in it. He opened the door, and started to rummage about. Now, being the newbie I was, I tried talking sense into him. Of course, trying to talk sense into a drunk person.. Not gonna work. So these 'higher ups' come flogging in and restrain him. Long story short; higher up security came up to me and asks why I didn't try to control him, while it took 3 of them to get him on the ground. needless to say I didn't stay at that job very long.

Lol those lp are getting fired
terrible law enforcement wannabe's. they needlessly escalated the situation and handled it terribly. it's not their job to pretend to be police and get nitty and gritty with people, they're not trained for it and this is what happens when they take matters into their own hands: everybody loses.
so the guy was trying to get away with stealing and then decided to not deal with security calmly and resists them and fights back and when the security gets more aggressive just to stop him he decides to try to stab one of them, and you call the security animals?
They're all animals, one dude attempting to stab someone just so they can get away with stealing shit from a store and 2 morons potentially risking their lives for their low paying position over small merchandise.
yeah they're going way over the top for a minimum wage job at walmart, but he probably would have been shot if he pulled that shit on a real cop so idk what you weenies are whining about
