Holy shit!
Ahahaha what the shit? Can someone explain?
Ahahaha what the shit? Can someone explain?
All I can figure is that it automatically tries to straighten the steering column when the car starts but I have absolutely no clue what causes it bounce back and forth like that. I know nothing about cars.
Looks like someone replacing the steering fluid with something else so the power assist isn't working like it should.
Imagine that accidentally going off while you're on the highway
This is most likely caused by a short in the power steering system. I've never seen a case this bad before
Shit. That would break your wrist. I´ll have it in my car please!
I've read somewhere on Reddit about this video. It's probably the steering assist. The system normally applies torque in the same direction as you're trying to steer. In the video, the car's steering assist motor was probably wired in reverse, causing it to apply torque in the wrong direction. Once you turn the steering wheel one way, the sensors sense that and applies torque in the wrong way, then it tries to fix that and so it oscillates.

Fluid doesn't make the rack and pinion move on its own, even with absolutely no fluid in the PS system the wheel would still turn by hand. This is some kind of steering assistance malfunction, all the more reason why this computerized crap should not exist in street vehicles.

Steering assist via a computer is completely unnecessary. Way to blow my statement out of proportion.
