[sub]This is an edited version combining 'Iron' and 'Run Boy Run' by Woodkid together, they're actually two different songs.[/sub]
I usually reserve listening to these two songs for when I'm in a mood to appreciate 'em.
Those went really well together, wow.
I was afraid this would be the two songs played at the same time, it would ruin the atmosphere.
Uh, this is sort of cool, but I don't get where's "best video I have ever seen" coming from. Monochrome slow-mo shots. Okay, cool, but I am not really impressed.
Just.. wow.
Something about Run Boy Run is so nostalgic to me.
It's masterfully crafted. Thank you for showing me this.
Right well I just spent a good 20 minutes trying to come up with some well-formed paragraph about what the music video's about, but I got sick of attempting to make it proper so I'm just going to type this free style. From what I can tell, the video is about a boy's imagination. Everything we watch is being depicted in the boy's head. The first half of the video is about him falling asleep. His father is reading him a story to help him fall asleep (although, to be honest he might want to invest in some good sleeping material. Violence tends to keep children awake). All the other people we see in the first half are characters from the book being read. Obviously, some sort of battle erupts, and the boy imagines them charging into battle while under fire from some sort of artillery. He falls asleep shortly after a few combatants die. The next half of the video is about the power of the boy's imagination, and how it can aid him throughout his life. In this half of the video, we can see the boy charging towards a city. The boy is wearing a backpack, so presumably he's going to school. Monsters, which we are assuming are created by his imagination, are spawning out of the ground, and at one point pick him up after he's fallen. This is a metaphor of how his imagination can help him press on as times get tough. We can also see the monsters arming him with a sword, shield, and armor while he runs, which is a metaphor for his mind preparing him to face the world. At one point he jumps across a boulder, which turns into a giant creature after being stepped on, illustrating the power of this child's imagination. At the end of the video, we can see him raise his sword at the city, showing he's prepared to take on the day (and/or life). TL;DR - the boy's ghey and cant make friends so he makes his own
Really well made video, i liked it.
