Okay, I just had a million nostalgia attacks, Doom, Dune 2, Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Warcraft 2, Heroes of Might and Magic, Battlefield 1942, What I think was the first medal of honour game, Empire Earth, Nostalgia gone: Amnesia.
Two favourite sounds in there, can't decide which is my overall favourite, "For the K[I]iiii[/I]ng" - Warcraft 2 Knight or the classic gunfire sound effects from the first command and conquer.
Just rewatched it, two things I missed Lemmings and Wolf3D
Missed a couple goodies for good music.
Although still good.

I would say my two favorite sounds were the Diablo 1 opening chords, and the Doom shotgun pump sound.

The Modern Warfare series to the side, Call of Duty is definitely a big part of PC gaming's history. 1 and 2 should've been there if not maybe CoD4, and that's all.

And I know you see crysis 2 and Half life 2 for like a frame at the end but that's way too short given how important HL2 is. Also Crysis 2 was more of a console game, should've been Crysis 1.

At first I was about to be buttmad at the lack of Unreal Tournament, then hearing the health vial pick up and eightball fire almost made me cum.

There was a period after Half Life's release where everyone ever was playing it, and nothing got done. It was a bad time.
