It's been on for an hour or so already. They're accepting donations for local US PBS stations. You can make donations through the normal donation panel, and if you're international you can donate to The Fred Rogers Company. They'll be showing all 886 episodes.
3 episodes in and we already have a full blown dictatorship, complete with a border patrol that tracks people via serial numbers and family members being instantly drafted the moment they enter the country.
Mr. Rogers was dark, jesus.
the twich chat is what makes these marathons really. The constant commentary on the episodes by thousands of viewers makes watching 18 days of children's programmes incredible and something that can only be done on the internet
some of the improve is amazing,
"the punch clock fell down, can you pick it up for me"
*picks up the punch clock and they continue on the conversation briefly*
"bye"
camera pans away
"oh the punch clock fell down again"
OH SHIT THE GIF IS SHOWING
That finger song :v:

how much will you bet king friday will get ass blasted for changing make believe to where it's no longer the same place, the reason he started patrols.
twitch's UI is now entirely in black and white if you are watching the stream.
(this might be betterTTV doing this, i haven't tested it)
How is this black and white program so hi-def and crystal clear?

If I were to guess, it'll be down to how the show was filmed onto actual film reels using studio cameras and how those reels have been digitized using modern day tech that can scan the film at a high resolution. Another thing too, television stations keep master copies of their shows meaning the version that was broadcast was lower quality than the version that was shot. Again, I have no idea if any of my theories are true, I'm just going off of what I know

PBS probably gave Twitch or their digital studios the masters and they digitised it and in turn increased the resolution and made it more high def
Chat's losing their shit over the dominos
the entire twitch page is black and white

i use chrome and its working for me
just opened it and it was like that
okay I must have cached the page.
I'm using Chrome and it's all in black and white. A bit annoying because it's harder to read the chat that way. Does anybody know how to turn the HUD colorful?
